Jerry on Gregory "We're doing everything we can to get him back on the field."

Show me a doctors note and prescription that proves he needs it and how much he needs it.

I have never heard him claim that-- but if its true he should be able to back it up medically.

My point on the NFL policy is that in my opinion-- the punishment does not fit the crime. But you can only control what you can control as a front office.

The rules are what they are-- and Gregory has continued to put his addiction ahead of what is best for the team and himself. I would be in favor of a more compassionate NFL policy-- but I will also always be in favor of people taking responsibility for themselves and acting like professionals.

It is "professional" football after all.
Oh, please. Cut it out. A doctor's note. LOL

Stahp.

That's the hurdle that both parties need to be on common ground with, if there is going to be legalization.
I can envision a testing procedure still in place, but if you fail a test, or in Gregorys situation, multiple failures prior to a revised policy, than that player must adhere to stricter, supervised, counselled use.
Meaning that the team is required to regulate a player like Gregorys use. A strict schedule that only allows him to medicate after practices, games etc....
But again, as I stated earlier, you can only enforce such a policy if there is a more refined testing procedure. That is the problem.
Couldn't agree more. Such as the league's prescription policy currently is, I would hope players aren't doped up on opiates on gameday. And if there's a history of abuse, equal measures in place, Typhus.

Funny thing is Gregory himself knows he has a problem and has time after time made statements about growing up and not smoking weed yet his own addiction prevents it. He owns up to his mistakes yet many here want to make excuses or change the topic to the league changing policy to fit his addiction not him getting control of his addiction.

Exactly, but opiates are big pharma, its much more acceptable if its in a pill form,, but if you have to load it in a pipe... oh my, what a druggy.. lol

Resorting to name calling, brother?

It just shows how bitter you are.

You are arrogant as you continue to try and tell me how I think and feel. I don't like being disrespected and misquoted. I don't like being (incorrectly) called a hypocrite.

Guess that makes me bitter. But you're still a disrespectful fool.

What do opiates have to do with Gregory? he is not smoking weed for pain. And as far as pain while it does have some properties to deal with certain pain it is not the best pain reliever out there. I just had back surgery and believe me weed was not going to handle the pain I was dealing with.

I never said anything associating Gregory to Opiates, are you hitting the crazy cabbage Dooms?
I Don't know that, you don't know that, and honestly,,, Ive known a lot of smokers, and not a one of them ever said it was for pain. That's why if you backed up and read my post referring to the testing procedure you would understand where the content was from.
Me and Trouty were having a sub discussion, maybe you misinterpreted the context.

Yeah, it was me. But not Gregory using them. More along the lines of our discussion on a reasonable test to see if a player is under the influence during practice/games. Didn't single out RG.

Don't know why he replied to you :)

Because after my Romo rant,,,,, I got one huge target on my back...

Ummm... what reality are you in? You have yet to actually address my two points

1. Randy cant handle his business-- therefore I am fine cutting him

2. I don't think the FO should take character risks anymore

How is ANY of that "crumbling?" We are not even duscussing the issue. I am getting more and more pissed at you b/c you continue to be dismissive of points and arguments.

If anyone is crumbling-- its you. If you disagree with my two points above-- fine. I could carr less. But please stop pretending you have won an argument with me somehow.

no it is you that is stupid for wanting to throw out an asset.
if nfl changes it rules, the asset becomes a war daddy.
most of us dont care about these rules that belong in the last century.

The issue is over, move on or argue in a mature manner and drop the name calling, baiting and belittling. One person already got a time out.

No one here is saying to depend on him, Natural.
I didnt read through all 8-9 however many pages so I dont know what everyone in here is saying. But as a fan, management, whatever, you want to be able to depend on every guy on the roster.

Surely. I hope we're able to get Gregory on it someday :(

When Jerry Jones goes all in on a player he invests heavily with them financially and emotionally.

Make weed legal..guess who's pushing that? Our boy Jerry ;)

When the thread is about Gregory is it easy to mistake some of the post here.

How about being a bad example for all the young players coming in? How about causing off season distractions every year?
What offseason distractions? As if half the team isn't smoking herb in the offseason.

Are these the same "distractions" that Dez causes?
