JJ will surprise us because he won't draft a RB until the 4th round or after unless someone falls to us in the 3rd. May not be popular but it's probably the right thing to do.

Maybe the big surprise is we re-sign Woody Dantzler and see if he can stick around this time :)

He had that one good return against SF one time. Remember? haha in all honesty he would still be a better option then TT.

I think JJ's trying to lure the great Paul Palmer out of retirement.

At this point, with a draft class this deep at RB, I don't see it happening. Especially since he is going to want starter money.

agreed.. so many backs in this yrs draft could get a very good back in the 2nd or even 3rd round

You're on drugs. With Barber being resigned, Turner probably wouldn't even field a phone call from the Cowboys. He wants to be the starter. Not sit behind another RB like he did with the Chargers.

With a draft class this deep and the lack of "starting jobs" available in the league, I think Turner is in for a big surprise. Not only that, there aren't many 1 back teams in the league any more. Almost everyone is going to a run by committee system. Even AD splits carries with Taylor. I don't think he'll be "THE" guy no matter where he goes. And, I sure as heck don't think he's going to get the FA riches he and his agent have dreamed up all year. This draft is just too rich in inexpensive, late round alternatives.

:hammer:

What he said. Only much shorter and to the point than my angle.;)

I'm thinking maybe someone like Derrick Ward, Melwade Moore or Jesse Chatham.

I agree with this type of signing. Not expensive, but you know they can spell Barber and fill-in in case of injury. You can still draft a young back like Charles, C Johnson, Forte, Slaton or Choice.

A name I had forgotten about. There is a reason of course.

Watch JJ resign JJ....Now that would be a suprise.
That's not what I would call a surprise. I'd prefer a sharp stick in the eye.

Mewelde Moore would be a nice Vet sign and grab another young RB late in first.

Why would that be the smart thing to do?

We have three primary needs: WR, CB, RB. So you are an advocate for just wasting a 2nd round pick?

Dumb question, but who is Peyton Hillis? I watched a few Ark games this year and don't remember him at all? I do think Johnson out of ECU would be a nice change of pace with MBIII.

Peyton Hillis was Arkansas' fullback. He's a bit of a tweener between FB and RB though, much like Brian Leonard was last year.

the surpise will be IF D-Mac falls to #22(I know, highly unlikely) that the Cowboys do NOT draft him!!!

ATL will come calling offering their two 2nd rounders(they have 2 of them right?) and maybe more to move up to that pick to draft D-Mac....

then with the 1st 2nd rounder they will draft that Johnson kid fo RB....

just a hunch....throwing stuff against the wall...let's see if it sticks....
