I'll still die on the hill that Murray was the better overall RB if it wasn't for his injuries.
Actually was a threat in the passing game and owns the all time rushing and total yardage in Cowboys history.

Zeke was great here early on here then became a good back. Was our engine for the offense. But to say he's considered for the ROH while he's still playing seems like Jerry not knowing when to stop talking.
I’d take DeMarco over Zeke as well.

On a similar note, if it wasn't for the hamstring issues, I think Miles was better overall WR than Dez.

I mentioned all of the seasons including those we made it to Divisional round this era.

I know you’re a great fan and appreciate speaking out against our owner . Very well meaning but sounds like you’ve also fallen victim to the hype and hope he’s been selling.

Maybe, but I genuinely feel that we had a team that at least should have made it to the NFCC if not the SB those years. I know the defence wasn't great in 2014, but we should have been able to beat Green Bay for example.

Well, I can’t argue personal feelings.

But with rare exception do teams win a championship without an Elite defense or QB.

Sure, though, I do think Romo was borderline elite if not for Jerry's screwups with the oline during his career.
I’d agree that Romo was near Elite in 2014 and had his most effective season . That offense with Murray leading the league in rushing was near championship caliber while the defense was average to below average. But no one outside of Cowboy fans ever considered him Elite.

Shame that was the last season we had those Triplets on the field together. We might could have made a better push for a deeper run.

In the end though our defense couldn’t stop a greater QB. And I think that’s where many Cowboy fans miss it is that while we might have a good enough team there are better teams.

This happened in our glory eras as well losing championship games and Super Bowls to greater teams. Or teams who had better performance on the bigger stage .

Exactly, and I'm talking about the period from 2009 - 2012 and maybe even until 2014 when we got Zach Martin. Our oline was deteriorating, and Jerry ignored it until it was pretty much too late.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan compared it to Emmitt Smith coming back to face the Cowboys while with the Cardinals when talking about Ezekiel Elliott playing Sunday at AT&T Stadium. Jones said he was holding out hope before Elliott signed with the Patriots that he'd return to the Cowboys. Jones also said Elliott is someone that will be considered for the Ring of Honor. "Zeke had a lift to it for the whole franchise."

Lol, I know Jerry likes Zeke but ring of honor? I just don't see it and don't think his name belongs onside other guys on there.

My God. If Zeke gets into the ROH before Jimmy (or at all). I think I would be done with this franchise.
While I understand the anger over the mere absurdity of the idea, I'm not sure how that's the straw that would break the camel's back.

If you're going to be done on ROH, you should have plenty of reason based on Jerry lying to Jimmy to his face live on national television. Eliciting an emotional and groundbreaking moment in front of millions and then going back on it with no explanation and doublespeak.

If this is the hill you die on then how on earth is anything or could be anything even remotely worse than that? Every single step beyond that moment is mere icing on the proverbial cake.

Is Jerry trying to make a mockery of the ROH? I’m gonna lose it if he inducts Zeke. The guy made 3 pro bowls in his career. That not nearly good enough.
Trying?

The man has denied honoring one of only three head coaches to guide this franchise to a National Football League championship. And one of the two other head coaches can directly attribute his success to that one head coach.

Trying? Jerry Jones made a mockery of the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor for decades. Every actual induction or suggestion of one before enshrining Jimmy Johnson sullies a grand tradition he did not start but inherited. And he does so with self-satisfaction.

I was a huge Zeke fan from about 2016-2019. One of my favorite players on the team at the time.

But he doesn't belong in the same sentence as Emmitt. Hell, not even the same paragraph. These two things are not the same.
Emmitt Smith is arguably the best RB in NFL history. Not debatable that he’s the best RB in Cowboys history. I loved Zeke but Zeke was a good player for 3-5 years. Emmitt was a good player for 10 years and a 3 time champion.

It’s like saying Lamb is as good as Michael Irvin and belongs in the ROH. Umm no. There’s only 1 Emmitt Smith. There’s only 1 Michael Irvin and Jerry is turning the ROH into his own petty weapon.

One of Emmitt's greatest assets was his longevity.

He averaged 1224 yards a season over a 15 year career.

"Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan compared it to Emmitt Smith coming back to face the Cowboys while with the Cardinals "

Playing against Emmitt wasn't just slightly more emotional? You know, the guy that pretty much spearheaded an offense that took your franchise to three Supe Bowls?

Tact isn't exactly Jerry's greatest strength, is it?

I think even Chase Haley is questionable, mainly because he wasn't a cowboys for very long. However, he did help the cowboys win Super Bowls.
.
I think the first criteria should be that the candidate should have minimum of 6 years of service with the Cowboys.

It's already true. That said, Zeke probably deserves to be in the ROH, too.
then we should call it the JROH, not the ROH ??
Plus it is way too soon for E to go into JROH, he is still playing, just left cowboys, didnt want to play here this year, and all this comes up
when he is coming here to beat dallas, and his current team actually has a chance to do that.

I see people are still disrespecting Emmitt. I get it from opposing fans who always say that Emmitt was nowhere near as great as Barry Sanders and others. Those people are wrong but deep down they know who the man was on this team in the 90’s.

I never expected such disrespect from the owner of the team. Mentioning Zeke in the same breath as Emmitt is down right disrespectful and just ridiculous.
It just shows how delusional jerry is right now. Also how stupid he is, and how he doesnt understand what cowboys fans actually want.
And how much he hates jimmy, and he is looking for anyone to put in JROH besides jimmy.
I think jerry also wants to avoid putting anyone from those 90's teams in and would rather put guys from HIS teams in.
