Zeke's Cowboys stats: 10,598 total yards from scrimmage, 80 TD's in 7 Seasons. Average 1514 yards per season, 11.4 TD's per season. 102.6 ypg, 0.75 TD per game.

Maybe that is Ring of Honor worthy.

Don Perkins is in the Cowboys Ring of Honor. His career stats: 7527 total yards from scrimmage and 45 TD's in 8 seasons. Average 941 yards and 5.6 TD's per season; 70.3 ypg, 0.42 TD per game.
you would have to look at the per game avg to be accurate, also the per rush avg not season totals.
perkins had 12 and 14 game seasons.

Zeke in the ROH but Jimmy isn't? What about Harvey Martin, Too Tall and Everson Walls? I like Zeke but he isn't ROH worthy.
those guys are before jerrys time, jerry is looking for guys from HIS teams which means mainly the teams from parcells time up to now.

It’s a reminder what we have become under Jethro Jone$ since Jimmy left. It still amazes me more fans don’t see it or fail to call it out.

In his eyes and priorities this era Elliott was a Vital piece to his success this era remaining popular, relevant and generating revenue.

Some fans are hung up on winning championships while our owners ultimate priorities revolve around him staying in power hyping his label keeping his team on the forefront.
that makes it clearly not the Cowboys ROH, but RJF OR JROH or JROF.
RJF = Ring of Jerrys Favorites (no honor to it, jerry just has to like you a lot LOL)
JROF= Jerrys Ring of Favorites, which is more accurate and has little to do with honor or accomplishments, or what they did for the team.

Perkins played 107 games for the Cowboys in an era where running the ball was more important than the pass. Zeke played 106 games for the Cowboys. So the stats are relevant.
mostly he played on a bad expansion team, that didnt have 3- 4 rd 1 OL all young.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan compared it to Emmitt Smith coming back to face the Cowboys while with the Cardinals when talking about Ezekiel Elliott playing Sunday at AT&T Stadium. Jones said he was holding out hope before Elliott signed with the Patriots that he'd return to the Cowboys. Jones also said Elliott is someone that will be considered for the Ring of Honor. "Zeke had a lift to it for the whole franchise."

If this is like Emmitt coming back I’ll say Donovan Wilson plays the Roy Williams role in this.

then we should call it the JROH, not the ROH ??
Plus it is way too soon for E to go into JROH, he is still playing, just left cowboys, didnt want to play here this year, and all this comes up
when he is coming here to beat dallas, and his current team actually has a chance to do that.
Not saying he should get in now. But he is the Cowboys 3rd all time rusher and the other two guys are in the HOF.

I’m not sure why fans are comparing Zeke to Emmitt. I don’t believe that was Jethro’s intention except to compare their return playing for another team,

That’s a fair point. We’ll see where Elliott ends up in career yards. If he plays 3 or 4 more years he could reach 12,000 yards which everyone who has is in the HOF except for Gore who will be .

I’m not sure why all Cowboy fans wouldn't be rooting for him? Anyone drafted by the Cowboys is always a Cowboy. Im sure he’d go in as a Cowboy.

Who has Jethro inducted so far who didn’t deserve it?

Doesn't mean he belongs in the CROH.
I hear ya but it still doesn’t justify why so much hostility towards Elliott.

Shoot, he was released by us. Isn’t that enough punishment ?

I’m one of Jethro Jone$ biggest critics but I’m looking forward to Elliotts return as well. It’s going to be mixed emotions much like our players have said.

Glad he was given another opportunity by Patriots. Hope he does well.

Sometimes I just don’t get some of our fans.

It just shows how delusional jerry is right now. Also how stupid he is, and how he doesnt understand what cowboys fans actually want.
And how much he hates jimmy, and he is looking for anyone to put in JROH besides jimmy.
I think jerry also wants to avoid putting anyone from those 90's teams in and would rather put guys from HIS teams in.
Exactly right.

It just boggles my mind that he would mention and seemingly compare the all time leading rusher and in my opinion, the best running back to ever live or atleast the best I’ve ever seen, to Zeke.

What you say here is spot on and really gets to the likely reason for such idiocy.

I don’t think he was comparing him in that way. Another example how some fans misread or misinterpret words.

The comparison was just in how he was returning to play on a different team. Had nothing to do with their accomplishments.

Wait. There is a difference between ignorance and indifference. Jerry Jones cares most about what HE wants.

Troy Aikman and Jimmy Johnson are Cowboys fans. Those two Cowboys fans asked him would he put Johnson in the Ring of Honor. He said he would.

That is acknowledgement of what Cowboys fans wanted. Not doing what he said he would do indicates he does not care what Cowboys fans want. And honoring DeMarcus Ware with a Ring of Honor induction and celebrating Ezekiel Elliott with a lesser tribute of some kind, instead of honoring Johnson beforehand, shows just HOW MUCH he does not care what Cowboys fans think of the topic.

Jones may live in a bubble of super wealth and self-indulgence but he is not oblivious to what his fans want. He is narcissistic. Narcissists will do stupid things instead of making intelligent choices in order to satisfy their own desires. That does not automatically make them stupid. It certainly does not in this particular instance.

I was a huge Zeke fan from about 2016-2019. One of my favorite players on the team at the time.

But he doesn't belong in the same sentence as Emmitt. Hell, not even the same paragraph. These two things are not the same.
True. And I’m not sure why fans interpreted what he said into comparing them in that way?

He was just comparing how they are returning on opposing teams.
