Not to start. Without Priest and Michael Bennett they need someone else besides the rookie Kolby. The local mediots are saying they will get another "known" RB this off season. Seems like a pretty decent fit for me. Of course the O-line is much worse then ours.
Yeah but Julius wants to be a feature back, not sharing the load.

Known could be right there in their own division. Michael Turner, maybe?

If this story is true, I can't blame him for wanting to go some where else. I think he will have a productive career where ever he goes.

Yes, if by productive you mean running into the pile and falling to the ground at first contact with a defender.....;)

So why wasn't he productive here, this year?

I don't believe he was very productive this year. But then I guess it all depends on one's stand/expectation.

Did we get any sort of report on why he was pissed off on the sidelines in Washington?

He seemed to be the only one showing any fire.

What is up with the local media that they don't even ask about this stuff?

The local media has always had a cozy relationship with the Cowboys and never been that great at investigative journalism.

After watching this video:

JMO, but I think he was mad because he was just taken out of the game and I think he probably wanted to continue to audition for other teams.

Jones can be effective if a team (Denver) has a scheme that is designed around his quick-hit, slashing-type talents.

Good luck to him....

I don't know how successful Julius Jones will be on another roster next year.

I really believe he lacks Vision and the ability to break tackles.

True, but teams like Atlanta and Denver run blocking schemes that would allow Jones to pick a hole and run to daylight if he's lucky.

"Starter" be damned. I would think getting 600-700 yards out of a backup is productive.

Julius Jones has been extremely average this year.

Productive is the very last word I would use when describing his play in 2007.

It has gotten so bad that alot of his carries have been "filler" carries, so that Marion Barber could rest.

He was never a proven back from day 1. From the day Bill Parcells traded down and took him in the 2nd Round to 2007.

His Offensive Line also featured 3 Pro Bowlers and Kosier and Columbo are solid.

honestly I have disliked him for a while, seems to not want to be on the team, I disliked him more for that than anything.

Now, I don't want that ****** getting a ring with us, backup or not, cut him now, and let MB3 and TT handle the remainder of the season.

Even better cut him right after the NFC championship.

JJ started out as a starter but lost his job due to ineffectivity but aside from losing his starting gig, he only carried 40 times less than MBIII and he has 2 measly TDs while averaging whopping 37 ypg in 16 games, nowhere near 700 yard marker. Far from being productive, imo.

Given same amount of carries, I wouldn't be surprised if TT can get 588 yards in 16 games.

JJ had a good beginning to his Career here, doesn't he have 3 of the top rushing games in Cowboys history?, it wasn't until Parcells told him to stop Cutting back and juking:starspin just follow your blockers and hit the designated hole that he went downhill.
