Dak being a good QB.Wrong about what?
Dak being a good QB.Wrong about what?
but McI watch other young offenses and the schemes are much better.
Lowkey Kurt is hard on Dak because Dak doesn't do the litte things that a top QB should do. He's too freaking busy doing offseason leadership retreats and still doing public, therapeutic gestures for his mom that passed a decade ago. I mean, when you got to work and get paid, do you thank your deceased (or alive) parents...? Everytime?I’m thinking it’s both. Right now I feel Dak is washed, McCarthy is a bad offensive coordinator and our WRs are undisciplined. As far as we know the WRs we’re told to run different depths and they didn’t in the game. Or McCarthy’s play design is terrible.
One thing that has been consistent through 3 offensive coordinators is Dak does not rise to the occasion when the pressure is on. That’s why I’ve been advocating to blow it up. Trade Lamb for picks we can use to restock the trenches, cut Dak after June 1, and get Kurt Warner or someone who is detail oriented (Ala Jimmy Johnson was) to coach the offense.
I have a lot of respect for Kurt Warner but I don’t believe every bad game Dak has is because of the play design and the WRs. Don’t get me wrong I would love Warner as the OC but Dak does have some responsibility in his poor play. I will admit that Dak is playing poorly AND is not getting the help from MM. or maybe Dak is so limited MM doesn’t know how to support him. Who knows, it’s a mess right now.
It’s easier to overcome bad scheme against crap teams. Split the difference? A few bad throws, a few bad drops, a couple of scheme problems…The problem I have is when Dallas is successful you never hear how poor the schemes are. But when things go wrong there are these breakdowns on how it's the poor schemes that causes the problem.
It can't be both. It has to be one or the other.
No one asked him. Many were dreaming of the Super Bowl.Yup….Where was Kurt Warner’s breakdown when we played the Jets?
Maybe i missed it
You don't audible out of a play because it's poorly designed. U audible out of a play , because of the pre snap read of the defense, gives you a clue to pick a better play to take advantage of the defenseThe defense is getting different reads as well...
Troy was extremely hard on his WRs. He demanded perfection. That’s what we are sorely missing in the organization is someone that demands perfection. Someone that demands “geeking out about their craft”. I agree with you, Dak is not that guy. We need a coach or a player that demands perfection because we’re not getting that now and it shows on the field.but Mc

The best QBs - like Kurt - are GEEKING OUT ABOUT THEIR CRAFT. They are DEMANDING WRs do things a certain way...not be their friend. Watch the Manning brothers. Watch Brady. Listen to how hard Rodgers was on the receivers who are now starting in GB. Why? Because Aaron is a "diva"? Or maybe because they are precision passers who demand precision from their team.
Enough of the damn kumbaya...
Duh and duh...that was enlightening for something I'd guess. I presented a way to get their defensive responses have to make decisions premature. Isn't that what football is about? You don't audible out of a play because it's poorly designed. Dak is not Troy and Lamb sure isn't Irvin.Troy was extremely hard on his WRs. He demanded perfection. That’s what we are sorely missing in the organization is someone that demands perfection. I don’t think you know how audibles work. This isn’t Madden where the entire playbook is open. You have 1 maybe 2 other plays that are wildly different. Unless you are checking into a run or sending someone deep because you see a good matchup, you probably don’t have the audible for the situation. That is why you run the play that is written and don’t just pick a fight with the coach even when he is useless.Dak can change the play with an audible. Stop trying to excuse a failed QB.
I think you may have missed the point.
The play is poorly designed to set the QB up to fail by designing routes that all break at the same time.
But this won't be well received here. The Dak mob already has the fire warmed up.
Somehow he's the one QB who has magically had OC after OC with a terrible scheme.Dak is just a victim.
Poor guy.
He can’t get a good scheme at all.
Amazing isn't it?Somehow he's the one QB who has magically had OC after OC with a terrible scheme.
Well said. Good QB work hard both on practice and film room, and command the offense, direct the traffic, calls out defense scheme, etc. Romo can make Commanders LB yelling "I am not the Mike".Dak can change the play with an audible. Stop trying to excuse a failed QB.
it shows that mike and shot dont know what they are doing when designing plays...according to Warner. Dallas receivers should break at different times.
That pulls Lb's in different directions. That makes sense.
I dont know if KM did that. But with MM, its not working. This should be fundamental logic.
well dak only has to please jerry to keep his job. and his checks are huge, almost 2 mil per game ! lolWell said. Good QB work hard both on practice and film room, and command the offense, direct the traffic, calls out defense scheme, etc. Romo can make Commanders LB yelling "I am not the Mike".
The current version of Dak does not seem to learn and does not prepare well against upcoming defense. He is just the bus driver doing whatever the coaches or OC designed and collecting checks. No mobility, average arm, and can't use his eyes well in both reading and disguise. What else is left for him? A good guy? The leader? Heck, I saw him sitting on the bench after the picks and no one bothered talking to him.
