Dolphins players Mike Pouncey and Jarvis Landry flying to Baton Rouge to recruit Collins. He'll wind up in Miami imo.

If Jerry really wants to do it, he can roll up in his own plane or multi-million dollar party bus.

Who are the 'REALLY good players' you're referring to?

It certainly doesn't apply to Ron Leary.

His play against the Texans sold me on him as being REALLY good. He's not perfect particularly in space but inline he is a monster even versus a guy like Watt.

The irony of all is that several days ago teams could select La'El Collins.
Today La'El can select his own team.

Conversely, the Thanksgiving Game vs Fletcher Cox and the Eagles sold me in the other direction. He was flat-out abused in that game and a major liability to the offense all day.

My criticisms of Leary aren't a slam of him or saying he can't play. But I think he is this terrific offensive line's weakest link (no shame in that) and I think acquiring Collins would be an upgrade at that spot, now and for the future.

I was a big fan of taking him in the 3rd. Out of the 1st 3 rounds of the draft, the Cowboys lowest graded player would have been their actual 1st RD pick.

3rd round is way too risky for a player who might not be able to play for you.

Supposedly teams can't meet with Collins since he withdrew from school and LSU hasn't finished taking Finals yet. That won't be until May 9th. This could take a while.

Tom Ryle mentioned we are in the hunt for Collins. Anyone heard anything?

Broaddus at the end of the draft claimed that Collins was considered in the 7th. There has been two media guys (one nfl.com writer and one lesser known nbc writer/editor) claim that the Cowboys are one of the interested teams.

The actual rule is that they can't meet with him at his residence or on campus. I'm sure they can still meet with him at an agents office or at team facilities.

Yeah that groin injury hampered him. I'm not saying he's perfect. I think that Free is the weakest link personally but we end up at the same place so it doesn't really matter regarding this particular discussion.

Apparently Rex Ryan's visit is okay because it was at a restaurant. Only the campus and home are off limits.

Would Collins be better in the 2015 season than Leary?i dont think so
