He saw a plane flying by.
He saw a plane flying by.
He didn’t play well prior to his injuries and after his injuries when given an opportunity last summer. They clearly made a big mistake drafting him as high as they did. They’re lucky everything they gave up for him didn’t set them back. We gave up a 4th round pick for a QB who at best will be our backup next season. I don’t see this trade working out much better for the Cowboys than the trade for Drew Henson who cost the team a 3rd round pick.He broke his ankle and his hand.
Their bad luck. Our gain.
Nothing has been proven yet. He was raw and needed time to develop. We know that. He was thrown into the fire at SF before he was ready. We know that also. The book on him isn't finished.it has been proven so far that he is not talented as his draft status.
He was third in line because that’s where he ended up after a QB competition last summer. You obviously haven’t been following along or are in denial. If anyone doesn’t know the facts it’s you. He was given every opportunity to be the starter, but Purdy and Darnold out played him.Not when he was third in line. You have your facts wrong, buddy.
exactly. he is raw. not sure he will develop. needs time to prove. he is not a phenom. despite his draft status being top three its proven he is not that talented. he wasn't thrown into a SF fire. he went to a perfect place. great QB coach. great team. great defense. great RB, great WRs. he just couldn't hack it. Purdy was thrown to the fire and he did fine. Dak started his rookie year and he did fine. both QBs took advantage of what's around them.Nothing has been proven yet. He was raw and needed time to develop. We know that. He was thrown into the fire at SF before he was ready. We know that also. The book on him isn't finished.
its not about making me happy. its about facts. its not about wishful thinking. if you like to think he is all that and he has high potential. then think that. be happy. facts to date say otherwise. future is not written. its about probability based on given facts at the time. end of story. now you can go to your Madden NFL, and turn up all the settings to 99+ for Lance and revel on how great he is going to be. more power to yaOkay man. Whatever makes you happy. If thinking like about your opinion makes you happy...by all means!
The 49ers clearly reached. Lance wasn’t nearly as good as they thought and once they saw no hope in him they traded him. He went through a couple of offseason’s and training camps and couldn’t even win the backup job. We’ll see if he can beat out Rush next summer.Lance played like 16 quarters of college ball it’s not his fault the 49ers reached for him he was probably less prepared than Romo at the same stage.
Welp...once again you are wrong. How can you be wrong so often?its not about making me happy. its about facts. its not about wishful thinking. if you like to think he is all that and he has high potential. then think that. be happy. facts to date say otherwise. future is not written. its about probability based on given facts at the time. end of story. now you can go to your Madden NFL, and turn up all the settings to 99+ for Lance and revel on how great he is going to be. more power to ya
Atlanta saw "no hope" in Favre? Why else trade a future hall of famer? The 49ers clearly reached. Lance wasn’t nearly as good as they thought and once they saw no hope in him they traded him. Lance went through a couple of offseason’s and training camps and couldn’t even win the backup job.
This is knee jerk. The jury is still way out on Lance. Did you really expect him to come in mid season and take the world by storm?Let’s admit, in deference to the NFL, Trey Lance is as useful as breasts on a fish. Let’s “take a look” at someone who at least has been playing quarterback, at some level, before considering a known failure to take the reins of the Cowboys.
He broke his leg and throwing hand. The 49ers clearly reached. Lance wasn’t nearly as good as they thought and once they saw no hope in him they traded him. He went through a couple of offseason’s and training camps and couldn’t even win the backup job. We’ll see if he can beat out Rush next summer.
Favre only spent one season in Atlanta and was traded because Jerry Glanville needed to win now. Glanville recounted the situation in an interview. He said Favre had a lot of potential but Glanville was on the hot seat and Favre wasn’t ready to start. Atlanta received a first round pick for Favre, so it’s not like they were desperate to get what they could and dump him. The 49ers were looking to cut their losses and dump Lance. The best they could get was a 4th round pick. The Cowboys were looking to cover themselves in case Dak continued to regress and they didn’t want to extend him.Atlanta saw "no hope" in Favre? Why else trade a future hall of famer?
They didn't know how the story would actually turn out. Much like this cowboysfaninhouston fella.
I have a feeling this is more about Dak than Lance, judging from his M.O.
He wasn’t playing well before that and he couldn’t even win the backup job after the injuries. He broke his leg and throwing hand.
Not this season. This is knee jerk. The jury is still way out on Lance. Did you really expect him to come in mid season and take the world by storm?
Certainly no guarantees, but at a minimum there is plenty of reason to think he could become a high quality #2, and the traits that had scouts thinking he could be a quality #1 haven't vanished. Time will tell, but an injury prone rookie season and sitting behind an established starter his second year isn't giving him that time. Success doesn't come from quitting when things don't go ideally from the beginning
Looked good enough for Dallas. He didn’t play well before that.
He throws a lot of TDs in those highlight videos. He didn’t play well prior to his injuries and after his injuries when given an opportunity last summer. They clearly made a big mistake drafting him as high as they did. They’re lucky everything they gave up for him didn’t set them back. So did Drew Henson. Lance’s NFL highlights were not impressive.Looked good enough for Dallas.
His highlight videos on YouTube are impressive.
Those were in college. Some of you need to stop watching his college tape.He throws a lot of TDs in those highlight videos.
With the Lance trade, that 2021 Draft is insane!Nothing has been proven yet. He was raw and needed time to develop. We know that. He was thrown into the fire at SF before he was ready. We know that also. The book on him isn't finished.
Nope. Those were in college. Some of you need to stop watching his college tape.
