Hi zoners... I have been a lurker for a few years and I really enjoy everyone's comments. Found this link to the new stadium design this morning that I thought everyone would enjoy.

Thanks,

:welcome:

Just my opinion but given the nature of that first post, that's the best debut ever for a first post.

Man, it looks amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us after you found it.

I am sure some joker is out there already planning a prank to hijack the screen and show some innappropriate materials during a game. :D

The pictures of Jerry that Lynn Scott was blackmailing him with?

Haha that's a great idea. It wouldn't even have to be X-rated. It could be a video from hornymanatee.com or something. I'm gonna get to work on this.

I really can't wait to see what is done about those screens hanging like that. The one at UT needs 40, one ton air conditioners to keep it cool. How are they going to cool the ones at Jerry World?

Welcome Javera. That looks like an awesome stadium, and I can't wait to see my first Cowboys game there. Looking at these pics makes me wish Laura Miller was a man, so I could punch him in the head.

The city of Dallas really screwed up big time, not getting this stadium. :bang2:

As another resident of Tarrant county I can't complain, it's hard to argue about it being 15 minutes away.

Laura Miller dropped the ball big time by lowballing on this, and she's nearly universally despised as a result, from what I hear. I don't think she's even running for re-election.

THis is a world class facility. When Jones does something, he puts his entire soul into it.

I can't wait!! I-30 is going to be HELL ON EARTH. I'll actually be living about 20 minutes from the stadium, but It would take me 40 to an hour to get there on game day unless I get there like 3 to 4 hours early.

goodie, that much more room for other teams fans. With 80,000 our offense may be calling the timeouts for crowd noise.

Last picture of page 7 in the photo gallery. Thats Troy Hambrick on the TV I hope thats not in the future, haha.

I'll have to admit, I'm pretty tough to please when it comes to my Cowboys. I guess I've been spoiled through the years. When I saw videos of the new stadium concept, however, I was amazed! If you haven't checked it out yet, go to the DC.com site ASAP. This thing is one of the greatest stadiums, arenas, what have you, I've ever seen. Among its assets:
Three levels of club seating, totaling 15,000 seats, something Texas Stadium does not have.
Five decks of suites, totaling 200 basically private living rooms.
Exterior end-zone plazas, creating not only gathering space at the ends of the stadium, but also multi-use room for entertainment, sponsorship platforms and corporate tents.
The Ring of Honor ringing the seating facades, with each name back-lit for added distinction, especially during night games.
A 17,000-square foot Hall of Fame.
A 10,000-square foot Pro Shop.
Significantly-increased number of concession stands and restroom fixtures over Texas Stadium.
Ramps, stairs, escalators and elevators to transport fans to the stadium's various levels.
A number of large, wall-mounted plasma screens located on the terrace level for a continuous viewing opportunity.
An ability to continue watching the game from the main concourse level while accessing concession stands and restrooms.
Two structural steel arches spanning the entire 1,290-foot length of the stadium - the longest single-span arches in the world - frame the end-zone entry plazas.
*Info from DC.com.

Among all of the amenities, I would say the retractable roof, and the overhead scoreboard were the most impressive.
The center hung videoboard of 180 feet wide & 50 feet high will be the largest of its kind in the world. Hanging 110 feet from the field, it will span from one 20 yard line to the other, and will weigh 600 tons.....wow!

I was a little worried when I heard they were going to keep the hole in the roof. After all, if you're going to build a new stadium, why not make it muti-purpose. Of course, JJ & Co. were way ahead of me. It will have two 63,000 square foot panels that open or close in 12 minutes on a rack-and-pinion drive system that is the first of its kind.

I can't wait to travel to Dallas once the new stadium is built. Once again, the Dallas Cowboys will be in a league of their own. This stadium is truly one of a kind.

Looks amazing. I love how the roof looks like Texas Stadium. I hate the hanging scoreboard though, I hope it is not over the field like that.

If you hear one of those wires snap, RUN!

I hope they put some extra crazy glue to hold up those video screens.
On a sad note, we may now become the target of terrorist, and that's a serious statement. EXTRA SECURITY EXTRA SECURITY

One thing guys! I know these are just samples of the real thing, I dont wanna sound too picky but as we all can see in the 'endzone' it only says ''COWBOYS'' without the ''helmets on the sides. I know they aint gonna add every detail..but I wonder if its only gonna say that without the helmets?

Fear not: Dan Snyder will try to outdo Jerry in a couple of years.

It's gonna take years to find a plan better than this unless he makes a stadium on top of water of something. But the little man will try.

That huge video screen in the middle of the hole is going to obstruct God's view of his team. I hope that's not a bad omen!;)
