Looking Like McFadden Will Be The Starter

I picked a great play that helped the Cowboys win an important football game. Several players had a shot at Murray and he destroyed one of their best defensive players knocking the crap out of him and here you are criticizing the play.

I will always be critical of any play by a RB where he runs to darkness and looks for contact instead of gaining as many yards as possible. Doesn't matter the player or team. With Murray, it happened a lot. A RB's job is to gain as many yards as possible each run. Why do you suppose Murray got the "left meat on the bone" comment directed his way?

That's exactly why you don't pay an older RB that's had multiple injuries throughout his career $8mil! Thanks for supporting my point. Hence the reason why most teams play RBBC. Even the stupid Eagles know this. Go ahead and spend all the allocated money on one oft-injured back, then he gets hurt.. Well, we're back to talking about how Stupid Jerry is for spending so much money on a player on the back side of his career. Geez, some of these fans will never be happy... Thier buying into the crap being sold on ESPN.

Why can't folks just get over it. "F" Murray.. He said it wasn't about the money.. and although all the leaders on this team tried courting him back..he choose our division rivals and slapped all Cowboy fans in the face by saying "I wanted to go to a team that I felt had the best chance to win a SB." WHAT?! Murray, you do realize you signed with the Eagles, right?..

First Murray isn't old. He is 27 and won't be 30 until he would be off the team in 3 seasons.

He is clearly the best RB out of the 3(Randle, DMC, Murray)

You can keep sticking your head in the sand and pretending it isn't so but we downgraded at RB.

We could have Murray and Randle instead of Randle and DMC and then we wouldn't have to count on Murray for 400 touches.

Refusing to acknowledge the mistakes you make is great way to repeat them.

The Jones' are betting a lot on the theory they can throw anyone behind this line.

Being the biggest Kool-aid pumper doesn't make the better fan.

Murray is the enemy... Let's move on

Yeah. They've never made a mistake by handing out big contracts. Oh wait.

The Murray ship has personally sailed

But the reasoning behind letting a player like him go is worth examining and will be discussed for years.

If it was just to save money, cap space or to prove a theory those are bad reasons, IMO.

Randle outperformed him last season. Much more efficient. Way fewer carries and had more yards and TDs.

I don't put stock into anything Randle did. He carried the ball a few times a game and was fresh while the defense was tired. Murray opened all that up for him. Let's see what he does when defenses gameplan for him every week and he's expected to be a big factor.

DMC is 27....Murray doesn't play for the Cowboys....He is not coming back..

From Clarence Hill on Twitter:

McFadden was held out today because of neck stiffness

You can't make this stuff up!

That doesn't mean he wouldn't play if there were a game today.

More reinforcement of a career's worth of unreliability. This is football, not baseball. Some players can handle it, some obviously can't.

I'm done with this guy and I hope the Cowboys are too.

I cut your quote off because nothing you said after that makes any difference. It was a preseason game.

It made a difference and maybe that was your intension. What you quoted changed the meaning of what I was pointing out. If you're going to quote someone include their entire sentence so it doesn't appear you're attempting to manipulate the point they're making.

It made no difference. 3rd and long. 3rd and short. Whatever down and distance it doesn't matter. It's preseason. I'm not attempting to manipulate anything. Simply pointing our that it was a preseason game. And a pretty meaningless one at that.

How was Murray running into darkness on a play he found daylight on? There was nothing but darkness on that play and somehow he found daylight and turned a big loss into a huge gain. If you watch the video as Murray was running down the field he could feel a defender coming up on him. He could see Dez was in position to make a block on the other defender so thinking he was going to be run down from behind he cut the play inside anticipating Dez's block but he missed the block and Murray got tackled. All this meat left on the bone talk got started amongst Cowboys Nation with many looking for every reason not to resign him due to the money it would cost. You can't post one great play he made without someone being critical of it.

When something is expensive the tendency is to look for reasons not to buy and if something is cheap look for all the good that may come from it. As soon as the Cowboys signed McFadden to a cheap contract he starts looking great to a lot of FANS because of his contract and the potential he had 8 years ago. Someone posted a highlight video of him back at Arkansas and began drooling all over him like that's the same back we're getting. LOL While many were building him up they were tearing Murray down especially with him in Philly. I don't remember anyone attempting to tear Murray down until it became apparent it was going to cost a fortune to keep him.

It made a difference because what you quoted made no mention of 3rd and longs completely missing the point I made. You could have very easily pointed out it was a preseason game by including my entire sentence.

We are still worrying about Murray? We manswell be talkin bout Peterson coming to Cowboys. I feel like the first big run from either Mcfadden or Randle this wknd will silence some RB worries.

One big run isn't going to silence the RB worries it will be plays, production and consistency during the regular season that will silence it. It's going to be picking up the tough yards that keep the chains moving and the defense off the field that will silence everything.
