McGregor vs Mayweather

Maybe 5-6 pounds water weight you can put back on, I wrestled highschool and the sweat suits in the shower run with the hot handles turned to steam and then jumping jacks you can cut 2 maybe 3 lbs if you start early enough ,,,mostly 1-2 lbs realistically any more than that and you're pretty much steamed out yourself when you hit the mat, so if you wanna say 8 lbs heavier I'm of agreement, if you wanna say 15 lb. That's not a viable guesstimate, another thing 82,,, some of those guys were built and looked like shaved apes yet when they hit the scales they were legit,,,
No idea about the weight difference..McGregor looked a lot bigger! I was surprised about that.

It won't "die" just like baseball hasn't died. It's simply declining, anyone denying this is in, well, denial. MMA is taking it's place, you can admit this while still enjoying boxing.
And yet since pre steroids use era, baseball attendance is up like 50%

Dude, stop. MMA is on the rise while boxing is hitting a free fallf.
********..well, deceased spin just had an article stating the complete opposite of this, how the fertittas were geniuses for selling when they did, no marketable fighters anymore, watered down, too many fights, etc.
Me and my friends used to get together all the time and watch, we haven't done it in a few years

To come out of retirement at 40 yrs old and make another $100 million dollars by knocking out a 29 yr old kid. Sounds like a fairly tale doesn't it? But it's not.

It was very odd to me that Conor's touch of death sleeps people in the octogon but Floyd was very rarely effected by it. That being said he didn't really connect clean like how he does in the octagon but still.

No one was able to stand with him before, now absolutely no one will touch him standing in the UFC after he has strictly trained boxing for 4-5 months

Floyd Mayweather is probably, pound for pound, the best boxer in the history of the sport.

As someone who has watched boxing from a young age and boxed in college, he is by far the best technical and defensive fighter I have seen in my life.

I think that the fight goes the distance -- 12 rounds with Mayweather taking it by unanimous decision. MacGregor will get some licks in, but he won't hurt Mayweather. Mayweather also will not knock him out - it's not his style. His style is amazing defense and filling up the scorecard.

People like to get emotional, and there's a huge race element why a lot of people want (and then talk themselves into thinking) Mayweather to lose, but if he loses this fight I will be absolutely shocked, and it will literally be the death of boxing as a sport.
Lomachenko is better technically

It was once the only sport close to a real fight but has since gone completely lame where most boxers including big names will dance and try to outpoint people and let judges decide the winner

Do you actually watch boxing?

No disrespect, but I hear this from a lot of people and then when you ask them to name the best boxers today, they ask if Pacquiao is still fighting.

Lol theres more classes than heavyweights, and last I checked people hitting each other with fists is considered fighting. You said it yourself boxing is more dangerous than mma
Boxing more dangerous than MMA? Not even close. And I'm a huge boxing guy.

Mayweather could have beaten McGregor at 60, too.

He was in no danger, and he knew it. Toyed with McGregor like a 5-year-old.

This was like the Cowboys versus a junior varsity team.

However lopsided you seem to think it was, it's no where near as one sided as a real fight would be. Floyd doesn't get out of the first round in a real fight.

Half a fighter Floyd said in the press conferences before the fight that MMA was next.

There is a 0.0% chance of that happening. He knows he would be killed. He's not a fighter. He's a boxer.
