I think there's a denial in his statement...

Only if you read between the lines. Or use a thesaurus.

Most innocent people make sure to be a helluva lot clearer and more explicit than that.

I'm sure he has a minimum submitted an affidavit with the appeal papers. That would be under oath and is written testimony.

Also could end up doing so at the appeal hearing and/or in subsequent court case. But neither of those guaranteed.
You think he didn't deny hitting her in his appeal then?

Not sure. If he didn't do it, I'm sure he did include an explicit denial.

If he did hit her at all and didn't want to go there, his lawyers would probably not say anything on that, and would just argue that there is no reasonable basis for the league's conclusions because she is entirely unreliable, and had expressed a willingness and motive to lie. At least that's what I'd do.

Those photos bruises are very interesting. First of all, those bruises looked like it happened the day after. Bruises don't show immediately and it looks like its already dissipating. This means that those bruises could have happened many days ago.

Secondly, when men fight they throw blows straight forward and towards the face. Thus its very unusual that she hardly sustained any bruising to the face. Especially someone like Elliiott, her face would be beaten to a pulp.

Third, her bruises are there sides, like her shoulder area and her sides. This is because when women fight, they tend to pull hair and use the bottom of their fist to punch. Men throw punches in a forward motion. Women (most do) throw punches on a side motion.

Lastly, she has bruising on the bottom of her fist. This indicates she was throwing punches too hitting with her backhand. Her wrist also doesn't show any marks of a man's hand holding it down. Because when DV occurs between a man and women, the man usually holds the women's wrists area so hard that it causes bruising around the wrist. There was no evidence of that ever happening.

I have read it. There is definitely evidence to call the league's conclusions into question.

But there is also evidence that others could believe tips the other way.

That's probably enough to uphold some kind of suspension.

All I'm saying.

What evidence is what I'm asking? Most of those prove Zeke's innocence and that she fabricated everything. If there was evidence against Zeke I'd like to know.

Surely if there was an inch of iota of evidence concerning Zeke the prosecutors would have been all over it.

However, her bruising, reports of her being beaten by Zeke, her living with Zeke and him abusing her many times, are all strongly disproved by the evidence in those affidavit.

At a minimum, the report includes her police report detailing abuse as well as texts and photos that COULD be read to support that some violence occurred.

You might not think that's much, or worth much, or credible. You might even be right. But it is more than absolutely nothing.

All I'm saying.

Someone definitely beat her around pretty good. What I find most interesting are the marks around her neck, that doesn't seem like a typical mark from a girl fight. Just to be clear, I'm NOT saying Zeke is 100% guilty but it does raise some eyebrows IMO. As I've always said, I think the truth is somewhere between but I hope I'm wrong.

I remember seeing Elvis pay little boy Curt Russell .50 cents to kick him in the shinso_O

While back I used to work for a suicide hotline where most callers were women. Most were either suffering from depression or victims of domestic violence. Women who were victims of repeated beating by their SO fit certain profile. They are typically withdrawn, afraid to reveal the truth, and are in a depressive mental state and somewhat suicidal.

Zeke's accuser does not fit this profile. I'm not saying I can say Zeke is 100% innocent but couple things about her and her story that just doesn't add up. And I don't just mean the fact she asked her friend to lie and the verbal threats she made to Zeke.

First, someone who's been physically abused for 3 days in a week will not be in any mood to go to a club the day after. Another thing is, most people will try to hide their bruises/wounds due to feeling shame. You can tell from the pics, she is wearing a choker type of necklace so I doubt she was wearing a turtleneck to cover her neck bruises.

As I posted before, someone who's been a victim of a physical abuse for 3 days will not go out to a club the next day in a revealing clothing and then get into another fight .

What would be the legal risk of his saying he didn't hit her if he had?

Well in one of those reports, I think it was the cops, that he mentioned he didn't lay a finger on her.

We just have to wait and see. Because there is too much affidavits from witnesses that say that he never laid a hand on her.

I also like to add that her facial picture looks too clean for someone who supposedly just got beaten up. Also her eyes look confident and secure. Not someone who is suffering for an abusive relationship. My cousin was in a abusive relationship and she would not even want to take photos especially her face. The photos Tompson shows is too eerily nice and pretty as though she is posing for a selfie.

Everyone needs to remember: it's not enough that the bruises, etc. COULD have been caused by a fight with another girl.

Rather, on the appeal Zeke needs to show that the ONLY reasonable explanation was that ALL of those injuries were caused by a girl fight etc., AND that NONE of them was caused by anything Zeke did.

I can buy that she is lying about some of it -- even perhaps most of it.

But IMO Zeke is not going to be able to prove that the NFL could not look at the facts and plausibly conclude that Zeke hit her at least once.

And also remember, he hasn't denied anything. There is NO legal risk to do so - unless it would be a lie.

He has denied the allegations.

Geezus.

Not relevant to this case, but hilarious to read in the text messages that are attached to the report where she tells EE to do "everything he possibly can to pass [his] drug test" and he responds by saying he is "gonna pass" because he is going to "live in the sauna the next 24 hours".

Obviously he was using something.
TBH I've had to do the same in the army. As long as it not an all the time thing, and he knows what he needs to do to pass then it shouldn't matter.

The only way this suspension makes the tiniest bit of sense is if they have photo evidence of the bruises existing before the night of Thompson's fight.

Which they may, but the NFL is refusing to release their report.

Also, a lot of her bruises look pretty incidental and suddenly Zeke's legal defense of "maybe she bumped a counter" doesn't look that ridiculous.
