Morning Pops and belated birthday to Leon, who neglected to tell us before or on his birthday, hope he didn't forget it. I was going to give him a condo in the Bahamas but he already bought one so I'll have to think of something else. Oh, I know, I will give him my respect because I was taught to always respect my elders. Unless, he calls me "Sonny boy" or "whippersnapper".

And a fine Sunday morning to all of you. Spring break here and I've not seen anything like this before. Usually this place is hopping, and I have no idea why as it doesn't seem like a family or kid's place to me, much more adults and golfers. The guy that owns the resort, Mr. Potter to the locals, is under fire for panicking with the cancellations and actively trying to bring traffic into the resort and he's going to have to do what other businesses are doing, hunker down and survive.

I have shifted my at home routine to ordering out and picking it up from the local restaurants. I don't like to eat out alone anyway, particularly at night, and these people need support. They cannot exist on business from the "defiant ones".

I have replaced all of my artwork and pieces with rolls of toilet paper. Gives me a feeling of self satisfaction to gaze upon my Northern Plush Double rolls never realizing they could actually increase in value.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. Yesterday was my 75th birthday. If I looked as good as I feel I'd be on the cover of GQ. Y'all have a blessed day.

What a coincidence! I used all my artwork for toilet paper.

Good afternoon Pops and friends. Yesterday I checked out some shows on Amazon Prime. I decided against the "Mind of a serial killer" and watched an Elephant Man documentary. What possessed me? I don't know. I'm exceptionally squeamish to begin with, but I also decided to cook a whole chicken which I haven't done in years. As I pulled meat off that chicken (while apologizing to the little creature) I got nauseated hitting bones, skin and fat. It was semi traumatic considering some of the stuff I'd seen and emphasis placed on stuff. Why did I watch that and cook a whole chicken? I'm just not cut out for stuff like this.

Belated Happy Birthday, Leon! None of us could have gotten you that wonderful beach house, but you and dang it, you deserve it!

Morning, Pops and pen pals. Thanks to all of you for the birthday wishes. You warmed my heart. The Bahamian Prime Minister addressed the nation last night and announced a continuation of a travel ban from Europe, Iran, South Korea, China, Italy and maybe one or two other countries, but not the U.S. They have one confirmed case of coronavirus that was identified Saturday evening. I was hoping he would impose a nationwide quarantine so I would be prevented from leaving at the end of the month, but no such luck. Y'all have a great day.

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who stop in to visit.

I hope everybody had a great weekend. If not, lets try it again next Friday!

Happy Belated Birthday Leon! I am sorry I am late to the party Brother.

So, called ABQJr. this morning as he had the day off, just to see if he and my Grandson wanted to go get lunch. To my surprise, they packed up early this morning and ran off to Algodones NM to go fishing this morning. Made my heart fill good.

Jobs, Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, I hope you all are doing well this Monday Morning.

Everybody, have a great day!

Good evening Pops and friends. I'm slow as I struggle through the deep, swampy waters of DST. Did Dabz have a birthday, too? If so, Happy Birthday Dabz, Happy Birthday to YOOOOOOOOOOOOU!

Today Xelda fell through the looking glass. The anxiety about my doctor's appointment today kept me up all night. I tried to reason with myself, but I've heard all my BS before. I race across town to get to the doctor's office and am immediately apprehended by someone that wanted to interview me and check my temperature. Well, she continued to talk that slow Southern language letting every damned word sink in before moving to the next one. Have I come in contact with anyone with flu like symptoms? Do I have flu like symptoms? Have I been coughing? Naturally I lied and told her I had places to go, people to see, things to do (I really did) and take my temperature. I don't know who else has this affliction, but if I'm not supposed to sneeze or cough, that's all I can do.

I went up to give blood and the heathen that got so ignorant with me was in the room. I vowed to never let her touch me again. Fortunately, she saw me hunkered down with my teeth bared and knew not to pull anything in front of witnesses. Then I went to the doctor and told him I have not been coughing or sneezing. Then I proceeded to cough like a cat with a hair ball. I'm fighting it and he's looking on in horror. I can't help it that things in that place aggravate my throat. I got a great report from him on my blood work. I should have told him I needed a gold star to show O'Coach.

I had to pick up my medicine from Sam's. I thought the 16th would be no big deal. Wrong! Panic had reared it's head and there were parts of Sam's that had been picked clean. No this, no that, no the other stuff. I was inspired to pull a Norma Rae and get on top of something and yell at people to put some stuff back on the shelves. I didn't, but the inspiration was there. In the meat department, there was a bunch of shrimp left over but little else. With no sleep, I curtailed my public exposure and went home. People have gone nuts! Leave my internet alone and I'll be ok.

Here's sincerely hoping everyone stays safe and away from The Cootie.

Evening Pops and everyone.

I was sitting here tonight thinking of the chaos going on and how it's affecting those I know... my son in law and his fellow shipmates stuck on a carrier in the ocean away from their families and unable to port, daughter out of a job scared to death as to how she's going to pay the bills and feed my grands while her husband is on that carrier (I gave her what grocery money I could spare since most of mine is tied up wth my lender), son whose work is soon to come to a halt due to work stoppages, brother in law with hours cut due to the store he works for cutting hours just so they can restock shelves without having to deal with fighting customers...and the list goes on. It's ridiculous that people have thrown common sense and decency out the window for greed. I'm thankful to still have my job. And food. And toilet paper. For now, anyway...

Just a few thoughts running through my mind late this evening.

Y'all have a good night and better tomorrow. Be safe and well.

(Mr. Potter. Is that a throwback to one of my favorite Christmas-time movies?)

Morning Pops and those not rationing toilet paper sheets. Reminds me of that woman that suggested using just one sheet at a time, she could be a prophet now.

The times, they are a changin' for sure. We are journeying through uncharted territory and we will be hearing and seeing things that mystify us. I am heartened by the response of the major social media companies to take responsibility for misinformation some will try to pass through. The fact that people have to actually be told not to gargle bleach as a preventive measure tells us how bad this could get.
