Thank you Coach! it’s a scary step but one I need to take
Now, I have to do something to warrant the thank you. However, women often thank me for just being me. And going away.

Jan, that dress looks great on you, really brings out the (blue, green, brown) in your eyes and accents your lovely (blonde, auburn, black, red) hair.

You go girlfriend!

Morning, Pops and pen pals. We will get about 1/2" of rain today if the forecast is right.

I saw a pistol I fell in love with, but even with my vivid imagination, I can's rationalize spending $1,100 for it. It's an FN tactical chambered in .45 ACP. The mags hold 15 rounds. The weight would probably be too heavy to carry all day. And .45 ammo is too expensive for target shooting.

A pistol is next on my list, but totally agree on ammo cost. I currently have a perfectly sited .22 rifle and don’t want to shoot it because the cost per round is ridiculous, and finding the ammo locally without mail ordering it is stupid difficult too. Haven’t started shopping for the pistol yet as I don’t want to fall into the trap of finding one I like too much and not be able to get it. A co-worker (and proud former US Marine) is a collector and has offered to let me try out a few of his guns for weight, etc. so that’s what I get to do for now.

What do the young folks say? You only live once! Go for it.

I went big on my recent handgun purchase - Sig 357. Packs a wallop (technical gun jargon).

Afternoon Pops and everyone.

Well, I did it. It’s all done but the signing of the paperwork. Said it would happen this year... just needed to get her through the winter... I get a few more days with her then I say goodbye.

I am 53yo and today am buying my first ever new car in my life. Pardon me while I puke. Buying a house on my own was extremely difficult and this ranks right up there with it. It’s a lot of financial responsibility on my own. I should take delivery early to mid-week next week. Of course, my daughter was quick to point out that I bought ME a new car for her birthday lol. She’s 30 today, and yeah, I did:D.

I’m sure I’ll wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat wondering how I’m going to pay for this. Time to pass the hat!

Hope everyone has a great day. Brought work home so I guess I’d better get to it!
Let us thank your old vehicle for hanging in there as long as she did. She tried her best, but her poor little motor was giving out. Congrats on the new vehicle, you were due for something reliable. If this one acts up, you can get indignant instead of wondering what it's going to cost you.

I love the 357 mags because you can use .38 special ammo for practice, then load it with mag for protection or robbing liquior stores and such. I wish there were more models is semi-auto, but the revolvers are fun too.

Evening Pops and Zoner Friends,

Tell me, am I a bad guy? Here is story:

After spending most of Saturday unloading a U-haul truck at the new house, we get a call from someone interested in purchasing a few household goods my wife posted on-line.

After providing our address, I causally ask, "Do you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle, because the roads are quite icy in our area". What followed was terse response wherein they explained they had lived in this area for 40 years.

Fast forward a couple of hours - I have now pulled their 2WD pick-up out of a ditch twice. In between towing them out of the snow, I ferried his wife to our home, where my wife served her coffee and a tea cake.

The third time they ran off the road and buried the the pickup to the axle in snow, I suggested they call a wrecker because I was going home.

I don't think they will actually buy anything from us.
