My "bother", his wife...Good morning Pops and Friends,
Happy Monday to everyone.
Well, I am back in Texas this week where the air is heavy, the temperatures are hot and TexMex is in abundance.
My bother, his wife and I are moving our mother to assisted living. This has been a long time coming and, quite frankly, mother has resisted the move at every step -- at least until the last few months.
Yesterday was a pre-packing day and, although we got a lot done, we got severely sidetracked looking at old, old, photo albums. Without getting too nostalgic, this was such great fun -- like walking into a cool home after spending the day outside in the sun... just refreshing.
If you haven't done it in a while, pull out a few photo albums and reminiscence.
Sister-in-law? Maybe a Freudian slip; I am known far and wide for such things. My "bother", his wife...
Freudian slip?
I think he was referring to your leaving the "R" out of brother.Sister-in-law? Maybe a Freudian slip; I am known far and wide for such things.
I don't blame your Mom, there is mental spike that accompanies that. The lady that lives next door to me has been fighting that with her sons and daughter-in-law and she is fiercely independent. They have taken her car away from her and left a golf cart for any emergency.Good morning Pops and Friends,
Happy Monday to everyone.

After re-reading several times, I finally get it. Thanks! And, no, he is not a bother.I think he was referring to your leaving the "R" out of brother.
Where are you in Texas?
Thanks; sounds all too familiar. She is convinced that moving to assisted living to tantamount to having one foot in the grave. That said, she really enjoys the special attention they provide in assisted living.I don't blame your Mom, there is mental spike that accompanies that. I hope I do not live long enough to have to face that or put my sons in that situation. Being alive isn't necessarily living.
Is he a bother in other locations other than San Antonio? Is that where he is on his best behavior? We tried to get in a little trouble on the Riverwalk when we were down there. Man, I could sure use a tableside quac, a bowl of that smoked salsa and marg at Boudro's.After re-reading several times, I finally get it. Thanks! And, no, he is not a bother.
We're in San Antonio
Happy Mon Afternoon Pops and friends- Colo wishing you the best with moving your mom to assisted living. That’s always a challenge. My wife and I in the last 3 months have moved my dad to a memory care facility and her parents to assisted living. It can be a flood of good memories mixed with some sadness. All the best to you and your family.Good morning Pops and Friends,
Happy Monday to everyone.

Good evening Pops and friends. Sorry for the late address, but I've been going down a Chris Stapleton YouTube rabbit hole, and I wanted to pass this on to the good people of this thread. I'm new to this guy's music, but I'm gonna try to catch up. @Xelda , I know you're not into country music, but give this guy a listen. He's got more soul than a lot of soul artists I've heard.
