Me too, I'm ankle deep in rattlesnake boots, hip deep in line dances and neck deep in rednecks and that damned Connecticutter has gone mental on Swampfever Soul music. Just because he's a trucker doesn't mean he has to behave like one.

Chris Stapleton is good but the man is Sturgill Simpson, who got all kinds of CMA and ACM awards and promptly answered with this for the labelers. Take your country and shove it. He was laid up in the hospital in CA and his bud brought him some edibles that make him higher than a giraffe's family jewels and he purged that country devil and wrote these songs. This album was my tops of that year.

I'm new to this guy's music, but I'm gonna try to catch up. @Xelda , I know you're not into country music, but give this guy a listen. He's got more soul than a lot of soul artists I've heard.
