Happy AR lost yesterday day!!!!! In spite of the bitterness of our last game, I can still celebrate that bastage losing. Oh, and the Saints got whooped too. Happier Happy Day. Oh, Oh, Oh! The 49ers lost too! Dad gum it, I've got to go out and celebrate these things.

I don't know about you, but I am struggling with this season... I don't just mean the Cowboys, but football in general.

Between the move to the new home, house guests and prepping for winter, I find I don't have my normal zeal for, or commitment to, Sunday NFL.

Maybe I'm having a late life crisis... rather than desiring a fancy sports car, I've had my eye on a John Deere tracker. LOL.

Same...sort of. I started off all excited, watching Red Zone and all our games. Now, I don't watch any other games, and I only watch ours until our first or second turnover.

Youi know, I did see a sexy new John Deere tractor on the show room floor the other day. It was all waxed up with shiny new tires. It looked like it could really do something, too. I don't know what, but I'll bet it could.

I'd forgotten about your move. I really hope you enjoy your new home and makes things easier on your wife.

I'm struggling with this season too. Last year, in spite of the playoffs, I got spoiled to dominating opponents. I think the super star salaries are messing with the teams' heads. It messes with my head too. The Cowboys are my ride or die, but Jerry (and Dak) makes it harder every year to get excited. I rarely watch any other teams because I keep forgetting who I'm rooting for. I've gone soft. I rarely root for limbs to be pulled off, but I still get hyped over an AR injury. So I sing "Tis the season to cuss Jerry, fa la la la la and Dak too."

Here's proof that justice is blind and not a Cowboys fan:

On Wednesday, Aubrey appeared at the very top of the Cowboys' injury report—unusual enough for a kicker. That paled next to the reason why: Aubrey missed practice because he was summoned for jury duty, which Dallas specifically mentioned on the injury report.

:lmao2:The ‘in jury’ report. Really? And people wonder what’s wrong with this team (smh)… jokes for days

Good afternoon Pops, Coachadoodles and Popsadoodles. We're knee deep into a disappointing season with little hope for improvement. If things turn around, I'm demanding that Micah Parson wear a Super Man Cape. A new penalty of 15 yards if anyone dares tug on it. No spitting in the wind, don't pull the mask off of old Zach Martin and you don't mess around with him. Do dee do do do do do. As it stands though, all I can do is write love letters to Dan Quinn. I'll probably end up with a restraining order.

On the bright side, Dak won't let me down this week. I need a break.

In hair news, Garfunkel has run Simon off my head and all the way down to my legs. (Note to self; shave) My side burns resemble Andy Rooney's eye brows. They have their own personality, rock and roll rebellion. It's bad. My hair isn't growing longer, it's growing up and out like a Chia pet.

Ok, that's all the news I have for now. Be good to yourselves.

Jim Croce would have been so proud, he'd have given you his sideburns.

The Chia Pet thing is why I started shaving my head...not that I want you to do that. I grew up with long, dark hair, but had to cut it for a job delivering furniture. At the end of those 11 years, I tried growing it back, and it looked like different parts of my hair were interested in different things, just going in every direction but down.

Now, when I haven't shaved for a couple of days, I get a silver halo, which as an atheist, doesn't suit me at all.

Evening Pops, CC and everyone.

Been mostly absent, and will be even more so now.

I have nothing kind or nice to say about these overpaid players, horrible coaching and ownership of this team. The play is abominable… worse than the last junior high team I saw play. I’ve stuck by this team for over 45 years and my tolerance tank is empty. Done.

Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays (or whatever you celebrate) and that you have a prosperous 2025.

Best.

Well hey, just because you don't wanna watch the Cowboys, doesn't mean you can't come here.

I understand your frustration, but we are suffering through this season the same as you. You are part of our family and we don't want to lose you. Please rethink this, if not for yourself then for us. We are going to have to talk each other down from the roof if you don't.

I would say this is embarrassing, but I'm going to file it under ridiculous. The temperatures dropped to 74 yesterday so I pulled out my new winter socks and turned the electric blanket on. This is the deep south and I've forgotten how to deal with arctic temperatures.

That's so cute!

I had an up close and personal bear encounter on Sunday (when I would have normally been watching the game -- I blame the Cowboys). I was working in my shop; the doors were open because I had just stained a wooden mantel piece. A rather large black bear walked by and stuck her nose in the open door. There was only about 40 feet separating us. I was cornered, no way out and no means of defending myself... or so I thought. I grabbed my trusty cordless leaf blower, and, between the loud noise and dust cloud, the bear decided to keep walking into the woods. I think I will buy stock in DeWalt and, perhaps, new underwear.
