When you see my beloved Cowboy & @FineFan ' beloved Meow Meow, kindly let them both know how much we miss them and will always love them & hold them ever so closely in our hearts. Thank You Pops!

Good morning Pops and fellow fans of the opening day. Congrats to those that saw their college teams win yesterday and condolences to those that are inescapably tied to a sinking vessel. Tomorrow, I am going to check and see if it's possible to have my birth certificate changed to another state other than Arkansas, I mean, is it my fault I was born there? If I could have, right after exiting the birth canal,. I would have crawled to a neighboring state before they could fill out the bc.

The problem is once you are born in Arkansas, you are born to it. They begin immediately to program you with calling the Hogs before uttering Mama and follow that closely with "no, you can't marry your sister but your cousin would make a lovely bride and she already has kids".

However, when separating the insanity of fanhood from the reality of life, I was really happy for Colorado State's HC, Mike Bobo, as he's had a rough ride with his health and he's a good guy. In matters involving football, I turn to real life for escape.

Good morning Pops and woe be unto us, there is no joy in Mudville. It is just one game so no reason to give up hope and that is the word because that's what a good Cowboys season depends on for me. I picked them to lose this game but to score double what they did.

There was a lot of sloppy ball played yesterday and that NO-TB game was wacky as was the BAL-BUF game so it is a little early to be going long on this season just yet. Only problem is they struggled exactly where I thought they would.

I heard the phrase I've been using for years about football teams, "flip the switch", and heard that used more than several times describing what the Cowboys are not. The Cowboys have not been that since the early 90's but the coaching staff or management, whichever really makes the calls, did not use the preseason to prepare for the real season.

Good morning, Pops! Happy crappy Monday, everybody! First loss just hit us, but the defense gives me hope. Unfortunately, the axiom "Defenses win championships" doesn't hold true when the offense is anemic......but there's always next week, and the week after that, etc....and I'll still be watching and hoping.

Evening Pops and friends. All kinds of out of sorts over the games, I need to cut back to just the Cowboys and not allow Aaron Rodgers to further frustrate me. I hope everyone had a good Monday and may tomorrow be peaceful and calm.

Morning, Pops and Cowboys fans. Let me echo what @daboyzruleperiod said. On a happier thought my daughter bought the 4 yr. old a couple of nerf pistols so he could do "battle" with Papa (me). He was so excited opening the packages when he got one open he loaded the nerf ammunition in it and said excitedly, "Wocked and Woaded, Baby"

Somber respect for the victims of 9-11 and their families. To our Pops and friends, expend the energy required to make this day better than yesterday. It sounds like Leon has a start.

I am flashing back to about this time in 2001, we were at work like any other day and within an hour life changed abruptly and I can still remember the looks on the faces of my fellow employees and the phone calls that would go on through the night with the oft repeated phrase "I just wanted to hear your voice".

That horrific scene is etched in our memories forever but along with that is the beauty of the brave men and women that risked their lives to save others in peril. It was both our darkest and finest hours and I will drop by our Fire Station and Police Station today and thank them for doing what most would not do. I try to do that every time I see one of them but that is at my convenience. Today I will seek them out.

My boss, in his wisdom, decided yesterday to give me - the guy with the debilitating back injury - a truckload of hand off deliveries, so I decided to tell him I'm taking the day off.........So here I am on my sofa, doing next to nothing, and feeling pretty good about it.
