My friends, I return to you, on a part-time basis, with a new friend, Hector. Hector is my new hip and he's a metal head, titanium to be exact. Say hello to Hector. I plan on teaching him the Bossa Nova.

I am not in a lot of pain, except when I do the wrong things. Unfortunately, I specialize in doing the wrong things. I am on a walker and hope to get to the cane by a week from now. I have reflected on the idea that I may have used too many "walker jokes" in the past and karma is jumping me.

I will come back and spend more time with my Zoner family when I am still not hungover from the anesthesia, just can't shake it and writing takes a lot of concentration. Those of you that know me here know I can drift but this is different and I hate this feeling.

Take your time, my brother. Just come back when you're ready..............or when you need us.

Afternoon Pops and friends. I mean evening. I don't know what I did today, but apparently it took all day to do it. Leon teased me with some NFL games, but I couldn't find them. Looks like the PJG is on injured/reserve right now. I wrote a song about it. I owe you an apology, Coach. Karma showed up at my house over the summer looking for a Cowboys fan and I said he could be found in Texas and goes by the name CouchCoach.

Are you going to make an account for Hector to post with us? It would be interesting to hear you shooting from the hip.

Morning Pops and thanks for the well wishes, my friends.

Interesting game today and I am glad it's an early one. The Cowboys are facing a desperate team at home with as good a QB as there is in the game. And the Colts can play some D too and probably have the rookie LB that will keep Vander Esch from getting the Rook D award.

This is going to be a playoff atmosphere game for Indy, I am interested to see if Garrett plays this to win or not to lose.

It would be like Mark Twain, Maya Angelou and Albert Einstein donated DNA to create that baby called my brain. Wrong, long weekend for me, unfortunately. Managed to catch some kind of stomach virus so not feeling great today. I'd say it was the result of watching the game yesterday but no such luck. Started on Saturday, LOL.....

Morning, Pops and Pen Pals. The gas bubble in my eye (put there to flatten my retina) did it's job but has not dissipated yet. It is a major annoyance at this point. It's like looking through a blurry magnifying glass. Enough complaining. It's 35 right now but will warm up into the low 60's so it should be pretty good today. I hope you all have a great day.

Good morning Pops and everyone. It sure is froggy this morning. I took my sis in law to Hobby Airport. I was creeping along and some cars passing me going 70+ with very almost zero visibility. Man it safe and sound thank God.

Afternoon Pops and friends. We had a power outage here last night. In an organizational binge, I moved all my flashlights to one closet. In utter blindness, I opened the door. Strange noises were more pronounced in this darkness and I was certain I'd go Jackie Chan in my hallway if something touched me. It was that spooky, way out in the country kind of dark.[FONT=Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif] [/FONT]I figured this was the electric company's way of telling me to go to bed. Some time in the middle of the night, gizmos around the house came back to life. Today I will be more grateful for electricity. I'm doing some celebratory dish washing as I type.

I don't know exactly what to say about that misbehaving eye ball, Leon. Sorry it's giving you grief. We're supposed to make it to 55 today and it's foggy here as well, RGV. I put fresh seeds in the bird feeder today without a major mishap. I hope you're on the way to a full recovery, ABQ. I hope the shoulder's better, Runny and Hector is behaving himself, Coach. I'm sorry for the recent losses ABQ and GrammaJan. There's never a good time to lose someone, but holidays are the worst.

This day is wide open with possibilities. Let's see what we can get into.

Evening Pops and all the rest of this crazy, beautiful extended "family". Coming up on Christmas quickly and wishing I had more people around me to celebrate with and enjoy just... being. Feeling blessed to have stumbled onto this site and having you all here. Here's hoping we all get through the Christmas holiday safe and healthy (and healing...you know who you are). 1 test down last week, 1 to go with my 6 month follow up CT scan tomorrow... a good result would certainly make my Christmas. Good morning Pops and all my good friends. Last week my brother was throwing away a broken old push mower that had been sitting in his backyard a couple of years. I took it home to tinker with it. The spark plug was missing, the air filter looked like it had never been changed, it just crumbled to the touch. Long story short, after installing a $2 spark plug, changing out the filter and cleaning up the carburetor( it had crud in there). It fired up and was ready n raring to go. It just needed some TLC. I don’t need it so I’ll give it to someone who needs one. The wife and I also put up the nativity set in our front yard. It was a good day. It sure is nice being retired.

Gramma, hoping and praying for a good report. I have a sis in law going through the same thing. Always Stay positive. Just so you know, there are ppl that care about you and your well being.

Xelda, you crack me up. I was in the garage yesterday tinkering with the mower when I read your post. That Jackie Chan comment had me rolling lol.

Afternoon Pops and friends. I'm glad you got a laugh out of that RGV. I haven't been in that kind of darkness in ages and the sounds coming from inside were messing with me. I had my elbows were locked and loaded.
