I will do that trade in a heart beat

Your post was the most idiotic thing I've read all day.

"Hall of Fame RB"

The guy hasn't even touched a combine. Let alone a ******** practice field. Reggie Bush is really panning out, William Green, TJ Duckett, Caddy Williams :lmao2:

If Jerry makes this trade, I'll puke for a week.

With that being said, I doubt if this is true-Mort has too much time on his hands.

I know Im as late as can be in getting into this mess but put me down for one of the guys who says "screw that".

Getting rid of Barber is a bad idea, no matter how you slice it.

That would be a move that would really just piss me off. If you can't get it done with the 2 1st rounders then it can't be done.

And why is Parcells the guy who is driving up the price. I thought Ireland was the GM.

Once again, all stuff that has probably been said but just want to put my name on the "hell no" list.

Mortenson also told us about this time last year that Bill would be back in '07.

this is mort who guaranteed eli manning would miss 4-6 weeks after anthony spencer slammed him on his shoulder in week 1.

I don't understand why some are defending Barber when a year ago at this time many considered him inferior to Julius Jones.

Not singling you out as I never kept track of who was in who's camp, but I think it is amusing that now Barber is someone deserving of being clutched to the bosom when all he did this year was what he did last season with less opportunity.

Yeah if you singled me out you would be wrong. I have been a Barber fan since early last year.

If we lose Barber... its a major hit to that offense.

MBIII + Felix Jones with the 22nd pick >>>>>> DMac

Thats good. I can live with that... and choose a DB or S with our other pick,.

Look at LT in San Diego = nothing in playoffs. We need players.... not a player

I have no doubt Jones sees a marketability angle in McFadden. I can only imagine the boost to jersey sales he would have right after the draft.

Barber might be a good back, but he's not exactly marketable. He doesn't talk much, he's a team player and keeps a low profile.

If he is putting marketing ahead of winning then we are in trouble.

I be winning a superbowl game woudl go alot toward marketing the cows again. Ofcourse we could start by winning a playoff game first.

If we trade MBIII for McFadden then doesn't that mean we would need to draft or sign another RB to be a backup? Just doesn't make sense at all to me. Trading one RB to pick up 2?

so We are going to go into a season with high expectations and a difficult schedule with two rookie runners?

ever hear of pass protection? I am sure jones and mcfadden would look great in protection if we opened up the season in philadelphia.

trading a pick and barber for another running back is as bad as trading two one's for joey Galloway. It is completely ********.

I feel we need two more running backs, a rookie who is smart with high end speed who can catch the ball and then a veteran who has been around the block and is looking for an opportunity to win a super bowl. A guy like aaron stecker or micheal pittman. The vet would have to be comfortable with knowing he wont touch the ball that much, but with an injury could take on a big role.

Signing a rookie where we pick and signing a stecker-pittman type wont be expensive and wont set this team back. To me it is the only logical thing to do.

I really dont believe mort's report at all. Barber is the heart and soul of this offense. He brings the enthusiasm and the toughness that we need. guys feed off of him. Pay barber, then go get him some quality guys to share the ball with.

I will be devastated if jerry were to trade a 1 and barber to get mcfadden. Its just bad business, and like I said I dont even think that will be an option.

FYI-doesn't Miami have a franchise RB already in Ronnie Brown?

HELLO??????????????????? Why would Parcells want to overpay MB3 when he already has an overpaid RB on his roster?:bang2:

No wonder your not a GM. 2 rookie running backs. Who played on the same team, who haven't had a sniff of pass protection in their lives.

I'd like to add one doesn't care about football and the other has been a career backup playing behind the best in McFadden. You baffle me. But I'm not surprized, you called McFadden a future hall of fame running back. lmao!

barber and mcfadden would be sick. we no rookie corner is going to help us enough to impact our secondary the best bet at cb is free agency. wr only Roy Williams is any good so standing pat there may be the only logical choice unless berrian can come to us at a reasonable price(would help more than manningham anyway). either way you look at it. its either really increase our chances next year , or slightly rebuild and hang around for 2-4 years hoping to get an sb shot during that time period

no rookie wr or cb is going to make any significant contribution. We had very little problem passing most of the year. running was the problem. Mcfadden > julius run into a pile and fall down jones.

first and barber are way to much for mcfadden though. plenty of change of pace backs

Look at the Wes Welker situation.

The Dolphins gave Welker a second-round tender (the second-lowest tender) of $1.35 million for a one-year contract. All the Patriots did is turn around and offer the second plus a seventh.

If we tender Barber at a first and third, we basically assign value to him and in essence, he becomes draft choices. Packaging him along with a first still would allow Jones to keep a first round choice if the Dolphins were willing to consider that value. Throw in players like Carpenter, Fasano and Spears, you have a variety of packages to offer.

I don't believe it is far-fetched at all.

Yes,

Lets take our young All Pro stud RB in MB3 and package him for "potential" draft picks. And McFadden/family costs us two # 1's and MB3 and $30M TO SIGN #1.

It is far fetched or JJ is asleep at the wheel!

Oh god, this is just something I can see Jerry doing, too. I can see him sitting in his office right now, lips smacking, getting his rocks off at the thought of standing at the podium on draft day and holding up a "McFadden" jersey.

The worst thing? There's nobody there to tell him what a stupid idea this is.

Jerry: <lipsmack> Well ahhh.. I... think I'd like to trade the farm to ahhh.. bring Darren McFadden here to the Dallas Cahboys..

Wade: heh heh.. great idea boss! heh heh.. would ya like a biscuit?

Larry Lacewell: BRILLIANT IDEA JERRY!! CAN I GET AIR CONDITIONING BACK IN MY OFFICE?!

Jason Garrett: Pardon me for interjecting sir, I certainly wouldn't want to speak out of turn, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the possibility has crossed my mind that trading our Pro Bowl Runningback and two first round picks might not be in the best interests of the ballclub.

Wade: heh heh.. <looks at Jerry, looks at Garrett, looks back at Jerry>

Jerry: Well ahhh.. <lipsmack>.. Jason... <presses eject button under desk, sending Jason Garrett plummeting through a trap door in the floor>.

So because Wade isn't a total --- like Parcells to the media....you assume he is like this behind the scenes?

That’s great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane -
Lenny Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn -
world serves its own needs, don’t misserve your own needs. Feed it up a knock,
speed, grunt no, strength no. Ladder structure clatter with fear of height,
down height. Wire in a fire, represent the seven games in a government for
hire and a combat site. Left her, wasn’t coming in a hurry with the furies
breathing down your neck. Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered
crop. Look at that low plane! Fine then. Uh oh, overflow, population,
common group, but it’ll do. Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its
own needs, listen to your heart bleed. Tell me with the rapture and the
reverent in the right - right. You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright
light, feeling pretty psyched.

It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Six o’clock - TV hour. Don’t get caught in foreign tower. Slash and burn,
return, listen to yourself churn. Lock him in uniform and book burning,
blood letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate. Light a candle,
light a motive. Step down, step down. Watch a heel crush, crush. Uh oh,
this means no fear - cavalier. Renegade and steer clear! A tournament,
a tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives
and I decline.

It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

The other night I tripped a nice continental drift divide. Mountains sit in a line.
Leonard Bernstein. Leonid Breshnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester Bangs.
Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You symbiotic, patriotic,
slam, but neck, right? Right.

It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine...fine...

(It’s time I had some time alone)

Jerry is gonna cause the end of the world as we know it!
