I think we will struggle against TB. Close game but I hope we can squeek by. Washington will upset the Vikings. They have been extremely fortunate to win as many one score games as they have. I predict the Vikings will be one and done. SF easily handles the Giants. Round 2 we get bumped by the 49ers, philly knocks off washington. NFC championship game SF at philly. I know who will win but will reserve posting to avoid unwanted backlash.

If we don’t make the NFCCG I fire Mccarthy and Quinn and get Payton and Fangio
Yeah it will be a huge change to hire a new head coach again and give them no authority to hire their own staff. In addition, all assistant coaches and players all will continue to report and answer to Jerry, not Sean Peyton. Yeah, you can bring in whoever you want as hc and we will still be talking about our lack of playoff success again and again.

Yeah we’re getting lucky with our first round game but the Bucs/Panthers are perfectly capable of beating us. I see a close win for us in that game but think we’ll lose a close one against Philly the following week.

Cowboys will crush the Panthers … and honestly the way the Bucs are struggling, I think we can beat them too.

I will not be buying "fool's gold" or hope this post-season. This year's team resembles a lot of the other post-season Cowboys teams the past quarter of a century and I know the signposts that indicate the probabilities that we will finally make a deep playoff run.

Therefore, this post season I will guarantee three things.
  1. We will beat a near 500 team in the wild card round.
  2. We will lose to a quality team the next week.
  3. No NFC Championship game appearance again and certainly no Super Bowl.
If I am wrong, then I will be happy to make a public apology on this forum. But I've seen this movie before and it has a very predictable ending.

After 26 seasons of Super Bowl talk and watching us choke in the post-season, I don't care about the regular season or the wild card round. I only care about getting the 26 seasons and counting monkey off our back by appearing in the NFC Championship game. We don't even have to win it, but is it too much to ask to occasionally mk an NFC championship appearance?

I knew having George Strait play ATT&T Stajum was gonna bring us bad luck but not 26 years of post-season bad luck!

If you don’t care about the regular season or the wild card round, why are you posting? Seems like you could wait until the ‘predicted’ divisional round loss before you start crying and whining.

I don't trust our Oline against any playoff team with a pass rush, Tyron looks uncomfortable and McG is a turnstile against athletic quick DTs. I see a repeat of the infamous Minny game of 2009 in the future.

but they’re not on their game. They’ve been playing bad since the colts game.
Bad ? You mean like the 40 burger they laid on the vaunted Eagle defense ? Dallas only punted 1 time. They had their way with the best team in the league. They aren't playing bad. Maybe not up to your standards, but not bad.

Just so you know, if it's Payton he'll want two things.

Control (like Parcells and I think Jerry at his age will give it to him)

His QB.

I'm not saying it won't be Dak but I'm not saying it will be either.

As it stands now, the Cowboys will face the Bucs in the first round. We'll have to see if the Cowboys can break Brady's grip on them. If they do win, they will most likely face the Eagles for a 3rd time in Philadelphia. Who knws what the weather will be like but there is a good chance the Eagles fans will be singing "na-na-na-na, hey-hey-hey good-bye" at some point in the 4th quarter.

But if the Giants or Commanders can pull off an upset and beat the Vikings or 49ers, then the Cowboys will face either the 49ers or the Vikings and I think they can beat either of those teams on the road.

If they manage to win that game then they will go to the NFCC game against the Eagles. That would be awesome.

While I think your prediction is the most likely outcome, I will remain hopeful, but won't be crushed if it turns out that way.

Yea, no reason we really should feel guilty our frustration and disappointment could continue .

I’ve always said I hoped I’d sense or recognize when I thought the trend might change. I have liked how we have played for much of this season , especially defensively. That provides me hope things might be different this year.

But as Wild Card it’s going to be very tough on the road. We will be favored in opening round . So,I like our chances of winning one playoff game. But looks like we’d probably be going to Phil in divisional round which we won’t be favored to win. And I wouldn’t expect us too.

I’m seeing a SF/Phil champ game. And wouldn’t be surprised to see SF win.

And a win at Tampa and a loss at Phil shouldn’t be considered a failure with how this season begun. It should give us much confidence to build on next year going for our 3rd consecutive playoff season.

Which would be first time since 90’s run. The more often you get in becoming a consistent playoff team the better your chances become to finally break thru. That’s my positive spin.
True, winning a playoff game would be a giant step in the right direction.
I can't fault the team if they lose a game they are favored to lose in the divisional round.

The toughest opponent for the Cowboys is the Cowboys. If they don't beat themselves they can beat any other team handily.

One game at a time..if it's Tampa's first, Quinn better go study how the NY Giants defense shut down Brady in multiple post-season wins over the years.
Bring relentless pressure and take away his short throws. Problem is Fournette could run for 200 if we do that, LVE and Hankins would have to be 100%
and I don't think they will be.

It would be a tough game to win.
