Name your ALL NFC EAST team

Just wondering why we are including a position that only ONE peroson in the NFC East plays?

I included Cooley because he plays a hybrid position. He certainly could play fullback or TE solely if the Skins wanted him to and play them both pretty well. Since there's not much in the way of fullbacks in the NFC East, I put him in as the H-Back since he's far better than any fullback they have out there.

I choose Witten as the TE, not only because he's a Cowboy, but he's far more consistent than Shockey as passes thrown his way get caught at a far higher rate. I also like him as a deeper receiving threat and a guy that can line up out wide than Cooley or LJ Smith.

Rich....I think you've lost your mind. Crayton, Hicks, Howard?

Crayton is my slot WR, which he solely played last year. His competition is Randle El, Greg Lewis, and whomever the G-Men have there. Given the importance of being able to complete passes on 3rd down, Crayton is excellent at catching passes that are thrown his way....far aboe what Randle El has done.

LG came down to Kosier, Dockery, and Diehl. I'm not a big Diehl fan, Dockery pretty much sucks, and Kosier is average at best.

Howard is a weakside DE. Umenyiora couldn't stop the run if he had a sea of herpes behind him. Once Pierce went down, teams ran right at Umenyiora and that forced him to play against the run more and he got manhandled. Canty is too young to tell and Phillip Daniels is great against Torrin Tucker.

Rich...........

The best 3rd WR/Slot Wr is Moss or Glenn its just that Moss to play outside for Wash and Dallas hasn't used alot of 3 Wr sets.

So I just went with the best 3 overall. Glenn is probably better than Burress overall at this minute but he's declining while Burress is ascending.

Lots of Homerism there Burgandy.

Yeah 'cause there is no homerism going on here, at all.

Williams over Taylor? 2 different positions. Horse Collar Pansy SS vs. Slobberknocker Hitting FS (I seem to remember one Patrick Crayton short arming a ball rather than take a hit from Taylor).

Cooley had a better year than Witten.

Crayton over Glenn, Plax, Lloyd, El?

Crayton is the #3 WR, meaning he's the slot WR essentially. Plax and Lloyd don't play the slot. El does, but when healthy I'd rather have Crayton as a WR than El.

Glenn over Springs, come on now?

Again, #3 CB. I actually had a harder time debating about Springs and Sheldon Brown.

Mahe over El?

Yeah, I forgot that one. I kept thinking WSH was using Antonio Brown on punts.

Yeah, Roy can't hit anybody.

Not to mention he made more plays last year than spit-a-riffic Sean Taylor.

(I seem to remember one Patrick Crayton short arming a ball rather than take a hit from Taylor).

And I seem to remember Crayton catching a game winning TD pass on Taylor as well.

Cooley had a better year than Witten.

Not according to footballoutsiders.com

That Giants end Osi Umenyiora is really turning into some kind of player.

Williams IS better than Taylor even if your burgandy glasses are to fogged up to see it.

Cooley had like 7 more yards in a season where Witten spent alot of time blocking. There is no choice there 31 of 32 GMs would take Witten easily

This was a fun thread started at Extremeskins. I think it could start some nice discussions over here, too. Really, there are only two positions without clear starters (TE,CB)

QB-McNabb
RB-Portis
FB-Sellers
*Hback-Cooley
TE-Witten/Shockey (toughest call on the team)
WR-TO
WR-Moss
T-Jansen,Samuels
G-Andrews,Thomas
C-Rabach (he's no pro-bowler but he's the best C in the NFCE)

DE-Osi,Strahan (Strahan to be replaced with Carter/Spears)
DT-Griffin,Ferguson
OLB-Washington,Ware
ILB-Pierce
CB-Springs,Newman (deepest position in division-Sheppard,Brown,Rogers)
S-Taylor,Williams

ST-Randle El
K-Vanderjagt
P-Pick

:bang2: Slow news days suck.

Did I put either Taylor or Williams ahead of each other? That would be no. I put Dawkins ahead of both of them.

Reading comprehension helps.
