You are delusional. Connor Williams and Mcgovern arent Maulers. Biadasz isnt a mauler. Steele isnt a mauler.
They aren’t dancing bears either. Line them up and let them go straight power. Run behind it and play action. No speed at WR. Get the ball out quick. Or Dak ends up hurt.

No, not a chance he will do that. So if its Ball or Tyler at LT, might as well throw in the towel and put Tyler out there.
Tyler is going to be LT unless JJ gets someone. And his ankle is hurt. If Tyler goes down then what.

And that’s what I’m thinking they’ll do. Tyler is probably the better option than Ball.

i suppose we could always move Steele to LT and mix up the OL from there.

His adjustments didnt stink, his backups did. Connor Williams has always been bad. Not much you can do with garbage. When we had a complete, healthy Oline the first 8 games we were balling.
We had a running game. We lost Pollard and l basically Elliot. And our TE. All in a few games. We have let the O-Line slip for a while trying to build the Defense. They are going to have to carry us for a while.

And part of it is philibin. He is in charge.. He is not a power blocking guy. We are or were a power run team. It’s sad to watch.
Sad and infuriating. Our best years have ALWAYS been power run. It's barely an after thought. Most people think they are clever blaming Zeke for it.

Don;t get me wrong zeke's fallen off no doubt (especially when held to the incredible 2016 standard)...but not all his fault.

Philbin bad, bud don’t use him as the scapegoat for this incompetent front office. Jerry, SJ, and Slick Willy, are all equally to blame for the arrogant approach to adding quality depth. Guys like Ball, and Collins, and Waletzco, and “McGregory”, and Alacorn, and Jones, and Simon, etc etc etc, would NEVER SNIFF the practice squad of good contenders. It’s ridiculous to put this on any of the coaching staff!

Well, someone has to wake Jerry up.
Jones is awake. He also believes in what he has done as general manager is enough to shore up the left tackle position.

What should happen is Jones bending to the criticism he is getting from media and likely from some of his own peers. That would allow him into becoming more flexible and creative as a GM to patch the hole made by Tyron Smith's injury. However, bending to what others want, even if others make a sound argument for him to take action he does not agree with, has been Jones' main issue for a long LONG time.

I don’t disagree. The owner and GM always has his share of the blame. He has spent resources on Defense. Williams will be better than Gregory and Ridgeway looks to be a nice pickup. The Parsons pick was great. So he gets credit for that as well. Unless your gonna say that’s all Quinn. I just don’t think philibin is a good coach for what we are used to doing. We used to power run to set up pass. When MM was with packers they had rogers and passed alot and set up the run. We don’t have rogers. MM needs to realize he had a running team that could play action. I would like to see how our O-Line could play under a better suited O-Line coach.

Right.. someone will need to convince Jethro to go against his instincts.

It might take a few games embarrassment . Prob too late by then but we could make some repositioning moves which is what is more likely to occur.

No it’s not Elliot’s fault. He was injured much of last year. He will have a good year this year if we get some blocking. I just see teams stacking the line again. We will be running of right side mostly.

JJ needs to have a few years of the non splash and not sexy first round picks on the O-Line like when he got a Fredbeard and Martin.

We have 21 million to spend. We need a descent LT and or Guard.

We also can line up a TE on the left side for support. And Dak can roll to his right. Our OC will need to game plan around our weaknesses.

"Convincing" happens for people with big egos. A better word for someone with Jones' personality trait is acquiesce into taking action.

I thought maybe I was taking tyron's injury a little too hard maybe making too much of it until I saw Nate Newton on national television.

He was being prodded by his friend Michael Irvin to try and say something positive about our offensive line.
Nate was flat out so disgusted that he said there was nothing good about the offensive line that Josh Ball was no good.

Michael kept trying his best to put a spin on it but Nate was having none of it he was flat out disgusted and made his feelings known on national television this was really telling to me as to the true state of our offensive line
Jerry will "reassign" Nate because of what he said. Just watch.

If you've been listening the him on "Hangin' with the Boys" he's been saying Tyler Smith is not a starter. And that's before Tyron went down!

homer vs hater.. just like here. lol Nate’s absolutely correct. Things were shaping up and this one injury and FO decision could kill it.
