And part of it is philibin. He is in charge.. He is not a power blocking guy. We are or were a power run team. It’s sad to watch.
All true Glimm it's heartbreaking.
Philbin's plan just does not work here Green Bay was given the benefit of the doubt on a pretty consistent basis and pretty much spoiled him.
His holding techniques are not getting it done here in Dallas we just get penalized

If you've been listening the him on "Hangin' with the Boys" he's been saying Tyler Smith is not a starter. And that's before Tyron went down!
I trust Nate. Tyler needs a year at least. Maybe 2. To me, Tyler needs 2 be left at LG full time and he can be a 10 year starter and stud at LG. He isn't an NFL tackle. He is a mauler and his best fit is guard. Nate even says this.

LOL...............Love newton. That was the BEST part of the whole game.

100% reality and pulling no punches when talking about the Cowboys. Most dont like to hear the truth, but there it was. A man after mine own heart.
Yes it was Roy Nate was the bearer of the inconvenient truth but he told it like it was and it was nice to have somebody that wasn't afraid to just tell the truth and lay it on the line.

Tired of people contorting the facts to meet their agenda

I’d agree. But he was only talking about who was playing last night.

Problem is there's a real good chance that somebody that was playing last night is going to be playing against Tampa Bay.

Jerry does not seem in any hurry to go outside the team to bring in any help I hope I'm wrong but I'm just not seeing any sense of urgency on the horizon

Yes , he did. Not sure why it would be better for anyone else we saw last night including Ball.

We forget that Tyron at 20 years old started his Rookie season. Albeit at RT but was moved over after Doug Free was a failure at LT.

And that’s possibly what we’ll see is starting someone else who’s a disaster and then moving Tyler over out of desperation.
Tyron was a generational talent. Tyler is not yet at the same level as Tyron was when he was drafted. The Cowboys drafted him for his potential.

Unfortunately in Cap era 1st round picks usually need to start immediately.

We had hoped to groom him at LG a couple years until Tyron contract expired or he retired . But injuries can often beckon the call sooner.

He was drafted to be the heir apparent. Doesn’t look like we currently have any better options.

If Nate knows, they know. Now for Jerry and Stephen? They don’t know squat

Ya, i didn't agree with Nate on Ball either. Sure...struggles in the run game but he was fine in Pass pro against Seattle's starters.

I thought maybe I was taking tyron's injury a little too hard maybe making too much of it until I saw Nate Newton on national television.

He was being prodded by his friend Michael Irvin to try and say something positive about our offensive line.
Nate was flat out so disgusted that he said there was nothing good about the offensive line that Josh Ball was no good.

Michael kept trying his best to put a spin on it but Nate was having none of it he was flat out disgusted and made his feelings known on national television this was really telling to me as to the true state of our offensive line

That's why I like listening to Hanging with the Boys. Nate doesn't pull his punches, even though the show is produced at The Star.

They may not have any choice. But I don’t think he’s ready for left tackle in the NFL. Playing at Tulsa didn’t prepare him for this level. But then again Ball is ready either. I wasn’t happy about using the 1st round pick on a project. Let’s hope for the best. This team will only go as far as the offensive line can perform.

It’s not like we can’t shore up that side with a 2nd TE. And our QB will need to roll out more to the right. OC need to call more running plays to the right. Have to adjust.

It likely is and then Jerry will go eenie meenie miney moe and grab one of our substandard lineman by the toe and throw him into Tyler's spot.

So no matter how you slice it we are weaker on the offensive line if we do not go out and at least make an attempt to sign some type of competent veteran.

And I think at this point we may cover most of the bases that Eric Fisher wants covered to sign a contract.
If we could sign him we would at least have a chance of being close to where we started out before Tyrons injury

Even if you want to sign a veteran LT, what team is just going to hand him over?

Smith should start at LT. That is why we burned a t 1st rounder on him.
Ball should be on the bench and we need to add some depth (or by some miracle a starter) in FA

Nobody I think it's pretty much Fisher is our best option and even that is a gamble.

But it's very late in the game and we are out of choices that make sense. Jason Peters is out there but I don't see that as necessarily a better choice
