Everyone was there last night except KD

Now what's the excuse?

Are you seriously that stupid to think if a guy is playing he’s at 100%, lol.

Never mind don’t answer that.

Yes, you are.

Toronto has been the better team without a doubt but to try and act like the Warriors ongoing injury issues to key players hasn’t impacted the series is moronic.

If Klay and Kevin leaves after the season, it is the end of the Warriors dynasty, it has been a great run for Warriors

I doubt Klay leaves. I could see them retaining Cousins as well. I believe they can offer him the most money

Neither teams players are 100%. Kawhi is definitely not.

Toronto is just flat.out.outplaying them. That's all there is to it.

Hard to say. I’m definitely of the opinion that Klay stays.

I am not sold on Durant leaving. If he stays, he’s basically setting up a free pass to the finals every year and barring injuries, a team that will be winning more championships for the foreseeable future.

Unless his ego is such that he wants to go elsewhere and show he can do it on his own (as in, he gets skewered for joining a championship caliber team to get his rings).

Cousins likely goes elsewhere if Klay and Durant stay.

I think Cousins could stay on a short term deal idle Durant leaves. He’d still command a max salary at 30 after hitting free agency again. Gives him some time to show he’s back after the injuries and if you are going to command less than a max salary on a short term deal, why not get a couple of rings to go with it?

One thing I don’t understand from the Bulls is the supposed interest in Ball. I mean, if you want a PG who is a great passer but not an off the ball threat and can’t provide spacing, you can pursue Rubio in free agency.

And it won’t cost you the 7th pick.

Last night underscored just how awful the NBA is now. Run down, jack a three, rebound, run down, jack a three.....over and over.

As Greg Popovich said, you don't have to watch the games anymore. Just look at the stat sheet and see who shot better from 3. That's all the NBA is now.

And now the commissioner wants to get rid of the word "owner". He thinks that's too insensitive.

Yuck.

It’s more exciting for the average fan.

The league is trending towards more position less basketball. The true, throwback PGs are going away as teams look to get more shooters on the court. Bigs are even getting into the spacing game with the ability to stretch the court.

The Bulls in the 90s (particularly in the second three peat) had Harper, Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman who could switch everything defensively whenever they wanted. They even would bring Kukoc off the bench and slide Rodman to the 5. They had nowhere near the shooting GS has, obviously.

If the league wants to get this more in check, they could ease the defensive rules and allow more physical play on the perimeter. I’d be a fan of that; I enjoy watching more physical defense allowed. But that’s unlikely.

Curry is something else; but I’d have love to have seen someone like Gary Payton in his prime guard him and see what happens. Curry would still get his... but it would be interesting to see what would happen over the course of a game/series/season to see Curry bumped and played in a physical manner... and what, if any, toll that might take.

Good, as a Laker fan I love the player. Lonzo with Kidd coaching him, look out. Only player I trade him for , is A.D. Don't wan't the Bulls pick. Anyways, Lonzo's staying.

Also Cousins has had very little team success in his career. Isnt this the first year he has played in the playoffs? If Cousins stays and gets back to top 10 level he was at before, and Durant leaves I think they would still be championship favorites. Losing that elite Iso scorer in Durant hurts, but Cousins would be able to shoulder those late shot clock iso's. He is also one of the better facilitators at the 5 in the NBA (probably the best before Jokic came along) and would fit very well in Kerr's system

While I agree with your point overall, I doubt Cousins takes a pay cut again. Golden State can't afford to pay him much. I think they have about $83 million committed to 2019-2020 but that number does not include Klay Thompson's cap hold or even Kevin Durant's. Depending on how quickly he reaches a decision, they may only be able to offer Cousins the MLE or what ever exception they have.

Winning an NBA championship is probably the hardest major title to win.
It is definitely the major sports title with the fewest different winners.
It is the anti-parity league.
I think everyone has Warriors fatigue (even the Warriors themselves) BUT it is really hard to win an NBA title.
Can the Raptors finish this thing off?
Guess we shall see.

Whatever happens looks like the worm is finally turning.
May not be a LeBron or Warriors in the Finals again for a long time after this season.
And honestly for most fans that is the best possible thing.

The average fan doesn't care.

Ratings are atrocious for these finals.

Who would pay Boogie big money?
He's been injury prone of late and never contributed much to winning teams.
He probably needs a full healthy year and as a top 3 option on a good team to earn big bucks.

Perhaps there's more cap money than stars and someone overpays but I'm not sure I buy that given what he ended up signing for last year.
He and the Warriors can be a great fit together because they will eventually need to keep guys as they are over the cap and they can exceed the cap to retain their own.
This would likely require a 1 or 2 year MLE deal but his Bird rights will help GSW soon enough.
A Full MLE With player option to opt out sounds about like what I think he can do.. UNLESS a team wants to pay him a large deal like the Mavs did with DeAndre Jordan for 1 year to kick their salary cap can a year. But I think Boogie would see as did DAJ that is a recipe to be traded away to place not of your choosing and it restarts your Bird rights countdown.

I suspect KD 100% leaves.
I think he wants to go somewhere as THE MAN and set the culture.
Brooklyn and the Knicks are in the mix largely because of that.
The question is can he handle another OKC-like playoff flame out stretch.

KD to me is a wildcard but I'd put his odds on returning as low.
The team feels Curry is the leader and man. KD doesn't seem all that happy with that and thus we saw his chatter with Green.
But winning is a big draw and GSW might be willing to move Green to keep KD.

Klay and Curry I think are just too happy living their lives with their families in the Bay area to leave. They likely retire as GSW and end up in the front office/broadcast booth or some such.

If Durant does leave, he is going to Nets, who would to go to an awful Knicks team with a terrible owner? Nets have a better future than Knicks does

I don’t think you’ll ever see pre-Achilles injury Boogie again. He looks like he’s playing with two sandbags ties to his ankles.

I lived through Bird/Magic in the 80s, Jordan and the Bulls in the 90s and fell in love with the game.

This brand of basketball is so much better than those days. Shooting is a skill and you’re seeing much more skilled players across the league and on display each game. Folks can try to romanticize throwing the ball into the low post and watching a big man backdown under the hoop but it’s not great to watch and certainly not a better brand of basketball.

Its also good to see 7'3 guys like Porzingis be legitimate perimeter threats. For as grear a shooter as he was, Larry Bird attempted fewer than two 3 pointers a game over his career.
