I think GSW needs KD back by Game 4, in order to win the series. It has been almost a month that he has missed.
Not sure why you'd think that.
GSW now has home court advantage after splitting on the road.
Boogie is just now playing his way into shape.
KD likely makes this 4-1 but you'd really prefer he stay out and we get 6 or 7 fairly close games.

In watching the games it feels like TOR is dominating but you look up and they are only up 4-5 points.

GSW goes on a little run and they turn in a 10-12 point gap real quick.

If GSW has continued injury woes it could turn in TOR's favor but it will be tough now having to win in Cali.

Yeah, I watch a lot of basketball. Referring sucks across the board. If you think the league is biased against just the Raptors which is effectively what you claimed in an earlier post you’re simply naive.

Maybe you completely forgot how the refs were under fire/scrutiny at the start of the postseason. This isn’t new. You just have an inferiority complex that makes you think the league is specifically conspiring against you. Our fans (Cowboys) do the very same thing.

And showing total FTs and PFs does absolutely speak to balance and fairness. The FACTS are the refs have called more PFs on the Warriors and Raptors have shot more FTs through two games this series.

Don’t have a horse in the race but total fouls doesn’t always show the picture. Jump shooting teams tend to get less fouls calls while teams that drive, pick and roll, and play out of the post tend to have more fouls called for them.

I think the refs have been fine in this series so far.

i think the officiating has been blah but not really in favor of either team.
game 1 they seemed to keep it close with some soft TOR calls and last night it was the reverse.

Agreed. Total fouls/FTs is not the end-all, be-all stat, however, it does help to paint a clearer picture of what’s happening on the court.

I think the refs for years have been drawn towards hurting toronto. Now you may not see it that way and that's fine. I remember a former referee coming out and saying they were told to favour the other team due to TV money that the Raptors simply dont produce because our population is only 36 million people. Regarding total ft attempts and all that. Golden state went to the line 15 times in the first quarter of the second game. Maybe half. I'm not sure. But it was brutal. Boogie was molesting gasol and Gasol.did the same thing on the other end and was called. Not to mention klay not being called for goaltending when he fully went under the basket thru the net to block a shot. It's very difficult for me having followed the Raptors since day one seeing this because I've been witnessing it for years. Back when we played Brooklyn and Garnett was fouled out when deron William's was the one who should have been and hit the game winning shot. It's just irritating. I still think toronto takes the series but it's going to be us vs gsw and the refs yet again.

Awesome theory.

Meanwhile, back here in reality I’ve seen a bunch of cheap and missed calls on both teams. Just watched Boogie get his shot blocked only after it bounced off the backboard aka goaltending.

EDIT: just watched Khawhi travel

Well, I think now it is clear. They need him back or they will not win.

Last night underscored just how awful the NBA is now. Run down, jack a three, rebound, run down, jack a three.....over and over.

As Greg Popovich said, you don't have to watch the games anymore. Just look at the stat sheet and see who shot better from 3. That's all the NBA is now.

And now the commissioner wants to get rid of the word "owner". He thinks that's too insensitive.

Yuck.

I think the Raptors are clearly in the driver’s seat to win this series.

Even if KD ends up playing this series you know he’s not going to be 100%. It’s the same issue with Klay and his hammy. You get a mixed bag with Boogie but it’s clear he can’t be relied on; he’s a shell of his former self athletically.

Even with a scorer like Steph, you take away any teams top 2-3 players and you have a recipe for failure.

I agree. I know right? Lol. That's what happens when you invest solely in your starting lineup and stack the deck against the rest of the league. I think Durant has an Achilles injury though not a calf. Video of him yesterday showed the ice pack to be on his ankle not his leg at all. Regarding the calls. I think it's been horrible both ways. You're correct this series

Forgot to mention the Warriors are also missing Looney who plays a key role off the bench.

They’ve been hammered with injuries.

The Warriors have very solid depth. The problem is they play very specific roles; Iguadala is a defensive specialist; Livingston is a facilitator; et cetera. The problem is none of those guys are a prolific scorer. Cook is the closest thing to that and he’s a 6’-2” guard.

Like I said you take away Lowry, Gasol, and Paschal the Raptors wouldn’t be competing either.

The depth isn’t the problem; injuries to the starters all at once is.

So, Durant out Game 4. I suspect he will not play at all. If Warriors don't somehow win that game, then Toronto takes it in 5.

Maybe he did hurt his Achilles.

I still think the Warriors find a way to win one more and force Game 6, but Toronto is smelling blood; they are playing really confident.

I think tonight's game is make or break for both sides. Ref's need to get out of the way of both teams and let the men play. Basketball was never meant to be a game with many stoppages, but the game changed with society, they both grew weaker alongside each other. If i see many calls early i will be prepared to change the channel, hoping it doesn't come to that.
