It doesn't sound like something Dez Bryant would do, in my opinion. Not in his character.

He does not HAVE to play...what part about that do you not understand? Did Joey Galloway suit up for Seattle when faced with a similar situation?

These issues gets discussed ad nauseam on local sports talk radio but never make it to the internet because it's not really the type of thing that a reporter will put in print unless they are Ed Werder. The team is done without Dez. I have no faith in the other WR's. If he starts sitting out games, it's time to start looking to replace him.
 
Dez actually does have a little bit more leverage on Jerry with this tactic than some want to admit, and it's not about Dez. It's about Romo's and Jerry's window and all the other pieces that have been brought in to seriously contend over the next 3-4 years. I think we all know that if Stephen weren't handling this to a significant degree, Jerry would have already made it rain, and probably wants to so bad.

Missing the start of training camp and even an exhibition game or two is no big deal. I don't think he will bring it into the regular season, where he loses game checks

THIS. He wants to sit out his age 26 year go right ahead. We finally have some cap discipline with Stephen, don't ruin it for a WR (as good as he is.) I want my team to win but Dez has no leverage here. He's not getting Megatron money, nor should he. That's what he wants to approach but he's not Calvin and Detroit way overpaid anyway.
