I've only seen head shots of Trayvon and a pic of him and his dad. But as I stated there's been derision expressed at the pics of him suggesting that he doesn't look like that anymore because he's 6'2"

I can only go by what's been on FB or twitter, because I'm not seeking out info about the case.

me either. but any pic i've seen "in passing" has been favorable to him. not to zimmerman.

just in passing. i'm not digging any deeper than what comes at me normally.

i see only a handful giving zimmerman the benefit of the doubt. outside that, he's todays rage to hate so you can feel good about yourself.

No one had posted pictures here. But people else where have treated Trayvon like the criminal and had made nasty remarks about him because of his skin color.

My point is that some are trying Trayvon with the evidence that fits how they see the story and I see no difference between others being accused of seeing Zimmerman as guilty

What? I made fun of the fact that people said he was a fat defenseless man. He doesn't look fat or defenseless to me. Hard to tell from a pic but he looks fit to me.

I haven't seen many pics of Zim's other than what's been posted here, but he looks pretty normal looking to me.

Neither of these guys look particularly imposing. But in people making arguments, there's been some major hyperbole flying around.

I believe as Zim being older and larger had an advantage, but Trayvon had youth and height on his side. Which may have helped him in the actual physical confrontation. The gun was the equalizer and now two families are changed forever.

Like I said, I am half hispanic or latino, and I look and act nothing like it. There is nothing wrong with calling him both white and latino, in my opinion.

The fact that his last name is Zimmerman rather than, say, Rodriguez, also adds to the perception that he's white.

I have a white last name. If I had my mother's maiden name instead, which is a Mexican last name, the perception of me would be different. "Mike Sanders" looks a lot different from "Mike Jimenez". (Note: Examples. Not my true last name. Don't go googling me.)

he was also a football player so in shape.

nothing changes that unfortunately things liket his happen far too often and it's tragic all around.

No one's made fun of a pic, but there were a couple posts mentioning how everyone's posting old pics to garner sympathy, since he stands an imposing 6'2...which is supposedly gargantuan in comparison to the tiny 5'8' Zimmerman. Or somehow suggesting that Trayvon's pics were manipulated to look younger to garner more sympathy.

In efforts to make arguments, there are those who are expressing derision towards both sides. IMO, there's not a lot of difference between a 5'8 grown man and 6'2" young man. They both have advantages.

Trayvon had the face, build, and make up of a seemingly a normal teen and GZ had the face, build, of a normal grown man.

Do you not see what's happening here? The media is creating a frenzy... they love chum in the water... ratings, ratings, ratings...

Why is Rev Al there? Why is Jesse speaking? Media...

Why is the media calling GZ a "White Latino"? Why is white in there? It keeps it going...

No matter the outcome, the media is driving this. They give time to the race baiters Rev Al and Jesse...

As I have said... burn GZ at the stake if warranted, but let's let the court system work first...

For the record, I think GZ is guilty of probably at least manslaughter, but I could be wrong. Should we judge him before a trial on CNN and MSNBC?

Please refer to my earlier post on "White latino." I would greatly appreciate you reading it in regards to particular subject.

I can very easily see how Zimmerman can be referred to as white. It is possible he thinks of himself as white and grew up in a white family. I'm not saying he is, I'm just saying it's possible.

My wife is from Mexico and said they consider it a slur to be referred to as a "white latino"... guess that isn't racist here...

Why is he considered white... because of his last name? His father also said he has been raised as Latino...

Why is he half white after an alleged crime? He would be (full) Latino if he was applying for a voting card...

When does this racial variation crap stop? This country was once known as a melting pot... it is now become Babylon...

yea, but i think that's micromanaging the details to shape our thoughts around what happened.

i'm more interested in how they got to their own thoughts. not how i came to mine.

Don't see what that has to do with anything. A Suspension doesn't equal a criminal or make it okay for Zimmerman to chase down Trayvon because Suspension or not Trayvon was doing nothing wrong during the time of his killing, besides walking and Zimmerman assuming that he was up to no good.
