He's a kid playing a mans game. He does need to gow up though. I would give or do anything to play for the cowboys and he acts like they should be priviledged to have him. Which is a punk move

Hell, I would divorce Alba, shoot Lassie and play for free to play for the Cowboys.

I'm afraid that's where our similarities end bro....no way am I divorcing Jessica Alba. :D

I love the Cowboys, but damn....maybe if I'm getting paid.

You can add Kate Beckinsale, Marisa miller, Adriana Lima, Hale Berry, Bar Rafaeli, and Scarlett Johansson to the no-divorce list as well. ;) :D

And my opinion is stupid because im some one who played in 28 carrer games have 260 total yards and 1 touchdown. lol, Dude stop with the jokes. Fasano was a second round pick. And he has 260 yards and 1 TD. But hes not a bust. LOL.

I hope that is not the best argument you can make. Fasano did his job. Do you actually believe they were going to NOT throw the ball to Witten and the rest of the WRs and RBs to give this guy some love. His job was to block and decoy. And occasionally get his number called when the other side started to cheat too much. If you were talking about Fasano not being able to block or be a #2 TE on a team with a Witten then I'd be willing to listen more.

If he gets on the field as the #1 TE in Miami and fails then you can gloat.

Thats the thing. Fasano wont fail. Hes going to be a solid player in this league for a long time. That much is evident.

He just didn't turn into Jason Witten and your joe blow fan will call him a disapointment/bust.

Fasanos a good, solid football player and you need guys like him.

We are in a position that we took a guy who could be better than Fasano or even Witten if he developed a bigtime work ethic.

With or without Bennett though we are more than fine. Its his choice on how good he wants to be.

well, you think being on the opposite side of Witten would have opened him up more...regardless i'd still rather have him over Bennett as of now.

Fasano was never even close to being as good as a guy like Dan Campbell, who was no great player himself and was had off the scrap heap.

And I don't know why people would ignore that Garrett hinted he wasn't smart enough to know his assignments.

Hell, the whole reason they traded him was that they expected Curtis to beat him out anyway. Tony Freaking Curtis! :jackpot:

Well I figure if I'm playing for the Cowboys I could just pick up another hottie. It worked for Romo.:laugh1:

I don't mean to take sides in the argument but that doesn't explain why Tony Curtis had 3 TDs last year.

He was a situational player. The cowboys obviously felt he was a bigger red zone threat than Fasano...albeit not a well rounded enough tight end to take the #2 spot away form him....despite Fasano's apparent stupidsisity.

Its like this. We have Tony Curtis. We know what he can do.

Worst case scenario the guy is eventually cut in a few years and we just miss out on another 2nd round pick. Its not a big deal..

That kind of ignores the concept of 'opportunity costs". It depends on who else you could have gotten with that wasted 2nd round pick as to whether it's a 'big deal' or not. If you could have taken, say, a John Greco, who was picked just a few spots later, and he turns out to be someone who could have replaced Kozier next year and started at G for you for the next 10 years, then it becomes a big deal.

I'll never be convinced that Fasano and Curtis combined couldn't have more than adequately filled the #2 TE role.

I'm serious dudes! While we've only seen a little bit of him, it's certain that he needs some coaching - and it doesn't look like he's gonna be having that.

I'm down on him too, but keep in mind that the magical world of editing on a TV show can make Charles Manson look like a choir boy if thats what they want to do.

this is from archer tonight..

**Martellus Bennett put together back to back solid practices, and he caught the eye of owner and GM Jerry Jones. Bennett was particularly good as a point of attack blocker, but he also had a catch down the middle of the field after running a crisp route the gave him separation from the safety.

Speaking of Jerry, he looks increasingly ridiculous on Hard Knocks if you ask me. And I've always defended Jerry. But like he said about his annual Super Bowl prediction, he's lost credibility when it comes to pumping up these players. He's just too optimistic about all of them.

Good to hear...he is a luxury this year anyways because we have Witten and Curtis in front of him. While I don't advocate him mocking Garrett I also remember that at age 20 I was not exactly ready to take instruction from alot of people either.

I just think that if he catches on and gets it together you are talking about another big and swift target for Romo to get the ball to. He can go in the slot and just cause havoc for smaller nickel CBs.

I don't know what ratio of Jerry is truly optimistic and what part of Jerry is putting on the sales pitch. Kinda like how admits we didn't draft a WR like many wanted, but that's because because Terry Glenn looks so good out there on the practice field. Maybe Jerry knows Martellus has given the HBO cameras a lot of unflattering footage, so he's making some preemptive strikes pumping him up in front of the media.

I wouldn't doubt that one bit. In fact, I'd bet that's part of it.

I think he actually talks himself into believing it, though.

that shipped sailed for me a long time ago. The guy needs to back off and let the football people do their thing.

Why that is so hard for him after complete failure is beyond me. His evaluations of football players and their progress on the field are basically useless as far as I am concerned.

Now I will get ripped for saying that, but that is ok. Jerry is a good owner but he is not a football guy and it is hard to argue that he is. I really resent all the attention he brings to the team and dont understand it but I love the team so as a fan I just take it for what it is.

Cut Bennett. Talent or not, we don't need players like that. All of our criminals and troublemakers are at least responsive to coaching and play like they're truly happy to be blessed to play football for a living. Watching his blatant disrespect for our coaches who have done their damndest to make this training camp fun and lively (whether that's good or not) makes me sick.

WOW! can u atleast wait till the season is over.

Let's see how this situation plays out.

And I quote from tonight's episode:

"Mentally I'm just gone sometimes."

Unbelievable. This guy is as close to a wash as you can get without having played a regular season game.
