If we did pull the trigger on a move like this for a 5th, then I expect Jones to go after the best WR in the draft "for the future" cause none of these guys will be here in 5 years.

I think Dallas would prefer to draft a guy in rounds 3 or 4 at WR then expect to draft a WR next year with a higher pick. This class just isn't real exciting at WR.

We have Stanbeck in house as a developmental guy and we like Austin and Hurd for depth/special teams. I don't know that we'll go crazy at WR knowing we can pick up a FA if we have to have one. When T.O. comes off the books thats 8 Mil we can toss at another WR. It's always preferable to draft great players but Wr is a crap shoot and you can sign FA's at some positions. The Giants and Pats both had WRs lead them this year who they did not draft.

Funny that you feel it's OK to rip on anyone who dares talk about Moss to Dallas based on some internet rumor but somehow it's OK for you to treat yet another internet rumor as 'fact'?

Seeing the irony yet?

yes. i embrace the irony. irony and i have been seeing each other for quite some time actually but i suppose the secret is finally out.

btw - i was wrong, i had thought moss had signed by the title of the thread.

Iceberg! Radny Moss IS NOT COMING TO DALLAS!! And, if he somehow does...I will come down to Dallas with a pound of shrooms and some hammered moose turds and we will party, OK?

Latest from PFT.com:

WALKER TO BE CUT?
With a $5.4 million roster bonus due on March 4 and no significant progress being made in trade talks, receiver Javon Walker could be cut by the Broncos.
Derrick Gunn of ComcastSportsNet.com in Philadelphia reports that the move could be coming, and likewise reports that the Eagles would be interested in Walker, if/when he's released.
We previously reported that the Cowboys were working on a trade for Walker.
In 2005, Walker was squawking about getting a new deal in Green Bay at the same time that T.O. was making a fuss about getting paid in Philly.

I just talked to someone with the Cowboys organization who said the club was interested in Broncos wide receiver Javon Walker. The Broncos would like to move Walker in a trade, but it's hard to imagine that the Cowboys would give up anything of value for a disgruntled player who is coming off an injury-plagued season.

Denver coach Mike Shanahan said in his final news conference of the season that Walker would likely have to undergo microfracture knee surgery in the next few years. In a lot of ways, Walker's value has always exceeded his actual production. He had a breakout season with the Packers in 2004 and a solid season with the Broncos in 2006.

Other than that, his career has been largely defined by a knee injury that caused him to miss almost the entire 2005 season. He also went through the mental trauma of having Broncos teammate Darrent Williams die in his arms at the end of the 2006 season. According to people who talk to him on a daily basis, he hasn't been the same since.

Teams will likely wait for the Broncos to release Walker before signing him. He's due a large signing bonus on March 4, and there's no way the Broncos will pay it. Oh, and he's not exactly the type of personality that would mesh with T.O. Walker, 29, believes he's still a No. 1 receiver in the league, and that wouldn't be the case in Dallas.

I here Philly will make a strong push for Walker as well according to wip610.

Walker for a 5th rounder is fine with me. Although he's a WCO WR, so I wonder how he'll do in this offense.

YAKUZA

TO was a WCO WR too. He seems to be doing pretty well in this offense. :)

Walker NO NO NO
Why would anyone trade for a head case WR that's bound for microfracture surgery and will be released prior to a roster bonus anyway?

No Way.........

Agreed - I hope the club is smart enough to read between the lines on this and figure out he is not a good fit for this team.

Well, hes better than any 5th round receiver we could have got. As long as he comes cheap I'm perfectly fine with this. I also wouldn't want this to stop us from getting someone else (Though I don't think we would need a Fitzgerald/Williams like receiver)

He has knee problems, sure, but hes under 30 and could come cheap. Plus he performs when healthy
