Not a single "elite" starter in Dallas? PFF Depth Chart

A lot of people up here don't agree with that and trust me they are big time homers. Very good? Yes. Terrific? Not so much.

That's the fun in this sort of thing... the ratings are debatable. But regardless, I'd love to see the guy on the Cowboys. :)

So Romo is on the same level as Doug Free and Chris Jones? The QB with the 5th highest rating in history, who has never had a rating less than 90, has made multiple Pro Bowls, and just threw for 31 TDs to only 10 Ints, is comparable to an average punter and tackle? Wow. Just...wow.

The criteria seemed to be multiple All-Pro worthy seasons under your belt and showing you were still close or at that level of play. Likely what did our players in.

PFF has TY Hilton & Colston in Top 101 but not Dez Bryant.

They must not actually watch the games.

The Patriots WR leader in snaps: Julian Edelman 1038 snaps
The Patriots TE leader in snaps: Michael Hoomanawanui 701 snaps
The Patriots RB leader in snaps: Stephen Ridley 341 snaps

The Cowboys WR leader in snaps: Dez Bryant 959 snaps
The Cowboys TE leader in snaps: Jason Witten 1012 snaps
The Cowboys RB leader in snaps: DeMarco Murray 690 snaps

Yeah, it had nothing to do with the talent around Brady.

there are always excuses for Brady from some. He was not that great last year - and while his WRs were part of the problem he was part of it too.

They downgraded him because according to them he had some snaps that had to be "compensated for" and "missed tackles" on kick coverage. It is absurd.

Think about that kind of standard for a QB. What is next? Downgrading a QB because they arbitrarily decide that a pass was too high, too wide?

There is not one single LS that does not miss tackles or in someone's view have a compensated snap. PFF are just being morons as usual.

They watch the games. What they evaluate and deem impact worthy is dubious at best.

That makes sense.

And that's whey he was not listed as "elite".

Looks like Brees made the "elite" cut. I would imagine that the buck stops there for QBs, unless PFF does something silly. Which is entirely possible.

Not that I disagree with your sentiment but I wouldn't think QB being average is comparable to an average punter, makes more sense to compare them to their peers. So Jones is average, in comparison to other starting punters, etc.

According to that pole there are 0.0% elite QB's.
Who bothers to create such garbage.

I think the writer for this poll also created this one..

I know that. My point was that Romo is not avg and those guys are, regardless of position, avg. I suppose I could've written "players" instead of naming their positions.

Unfortunately PFF sucks at grading anything other than interior offensive lineman from what I have seen.

The media dictates public opinion, it's scary to see what they can do when united with an agenda,,,
