Now you all see why blaming Dak's contract was foolish, right?

Yes, they were idiots for paying Dak in the first place.
now they'll make the same mistake by overpaying Parsons.
If they were serious, they would trade Parsons, take the picks and use them next year to take the number one quarterback in the draft and continue to build the lines.
How many decades does it take to realize it starts with the guy who touches the ball every single offensive play?
If that guy touching the ball, every single offensive play is not good, you'll never get out of the playoffs.
if he's above average with the good cast around him, he could make it to the Super Bowl.

If he's awesome, he can cover the warts on your team and still win you a Super Bowl.
We need the next Staubach or Aikman
Sorry, Jerry, but that actually means you'll have to share the credit with somebody when you win. But sharing that credit is better than just having a epic embarrassment year after year.

Dak's contract only looks bad because he, and the entire team, had a down year.

If he played like he did in 2023 (minus the playoff meltdown), nobody would complain about it.

And the main reason the team was garbage this year is because of the Jones idiots.
The main reason the team was garbage this year is because they played a first place schedule.
Dak is a regular season QB that does decent as long as the schedule's not too hard but the minute he plays playoff teams he sure doesn't play like he does against the crappy teams. You can see he just goes into a shell You can see it in his eyes.

He whines telling fans to "jump of the bandwagon" (as if one exists) anytime he sucks it up. He did this multiple times. This is just the most recent.

He is fine with fans throwing things at refs because he sucks and can't play well in the playoffs

He lies to your face telling you "I don't play for money" a couple weeks before signing the biggest contract ever.

He's not the beacon of goodness you want to believe he is. He is a fake.

Well, honestly, fair enough. I will say the whole "I don't play for money" then getting the max deal rubbed me wrong. I don't like speaking to another man's wallet but definitely thought he should have voluntarily taken a bit less to help the team, especially after saying that and given his current track record.

He’s like that robot on Lost in Space that gets reawakened after a malfunction

Jalen hurts is playing football today in a game called the NFCCG. Dak is not nor has he ever played in this game. Jalen gets 51 a year Dak gets 60. Jalen has played in more NFCCG than Dal has won playoff games. Dak is grossly overpaid.

Dak lost a lot of credibility when he was negotiating through the media and said he needs to get the most money for his QB brothers. If Dak would have kept quiet and Jerry overpaid then that’s on Jerry. Dak took advantage of Jerry’s unwillingness to be uncomfortable and stuck it to him. That’s fine with me but he also stuck it to the fans, I’m okay with that.
Team sport.

Only Dak over Dallas fans wants to pretend that Dak had zero input on this decision.

Absolve him of all blame. He appreciates your unwavering support of him.

His gift to you is Brian Schottenheimer. He hopes you like it (not really, Dak doesn't care about you. He only cares about Dak).
Well he bought teammates electric bikes so there's that...

I wouldn't say Dak is a mental midget. He has great residential construction project management skills. Take that nay-sayer!

I shamed you into silence by making fun of your 2nd grade grammar.

Then I shamed you FOR being silent, which in turn, forced you to run your mouth again.

Waaaaaaay too easy.
:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:
This Goofy talking about shaming people with emojis. What a psychotic joke

Well I have bad news on next years schedule with 11 gamess being playoff teams and playing 3 of 4 from conference championship games...think this year was bad, next year we will be lucky to sniff 6 wins unless there is a massive change in the approach to FA and the draft...

Which we know there won't be....and dak will probably have another bad injury and the misery will continue unfortunately

Listen, you don’t know football and you never will so your best bet is to sit back, shut your mouth, and listen to people who have a clue unlike yourself.

You were wrong, you’ve been wrong, and by the looks of it you’re too ignorant to see that you’re still wrong.

Have fun being that guy.
Yeah super Goofy . . . that guy

Paying a low class player like Dak that amount of money, strapping the team for four full years, sent a message to the rest of the team that no matter what they did, it wouldn't bring a championship to Dallas.
It sent the message to the fans that Jerry doesn't know talent, and any hope of seeing the Cowboys achieve greatness was/is futile.
The Cowboys are strapped to a quarterback who shouldn't be in the NFL for four more years, meaning that any shot at winning is likely ten years away. The morale will continue to get lower, and even after Dak is gone the organization will be scarred beyond repair.
Insert 5 laughing emojis

I don’t understand why just because Jerry is cheap means daks contract isn’t an issue. If anything if you as an owner are not willing to spend on top of these mega contracts it just makes the mega contract that much worse. It was irresponsible to extend Dak only to not address other issues. Both Dak and Jerry can be negatives for the cowboys, not sure why it’s supposed to be one or the other.
If they did not have Jerry to blame they would have to admit Dak sucks. With Jerry around all the bone goes to him

The Jones idiots were cheap even when Dak was on his rookie deal.

The Jones idiots have been cheap with outside free agents for YEARS.

The Jones idiots are cheap EVEN WITH COACHES, and there is no salary cap for coach contracts.

They paid Dak. Big whoop. They waited until the start of the season to pay him, BY DESIGN, so that they wouldn't have to spend another dime last offseason aside from CeeDee's deal.

They're a cheap and useless ownership group. Fans who blamed Dak or Dak's contract were essentially letting the Jones idiots off the hook for their lack of FA signings. Don't do that.

Many other teams paid their QB $50M+, and none of them were even close to as cheap as the Cowboys with outside free agents.

Jalen Hurts signed for $51M/year. The Eagles are ALSO paying AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert and *drumroll please* Saquon Barkley. They also have maybe the best OL and best defense in the NFL.

But Dak and CeeDee are supposed to win big, all on their own, because they're the "highest paid" at their positions? Bull****.

SELL THE TEAM!!!!!!!!

By this logic we shouldn’t be putting killers in prison because “the whole system is corrupt”

LOL, quit while you’re behind

You’re gonna get ripped for that but I agree. They wait to long to sign QBs and of course your starting franchise QB is going to get the biggest newest contract. Parson will be next. All QBs in the league are over paid. They need to put a % on each position of what they can get paid. It will help the FO work with these agents.

Jalen played and led his team to the Super Bowl prior to that contract extension to earn it. He has them on the verge of doing it again after signing it. What exactly has Dak led this team to in twice as many years to earn his?

Sure we don't spend money, and are cheap in free agency (which sucks, not gonna lie). But then we overspend for our own players on a team that hasn't accomplished anything to earn it. This has been a 15+ year trend, and most of those contracts come back to bite us in the rear, and that mostly is not "what we paid" but "who and why we paid" as the reason.
Jalen led his team to the Championship game or Barkley led his team???
