Last year for a moment I felt this way.

The reality is without wade we get beat by multiple touchdowns yesterday. Wade is putting the defense together nicely again. I still have no faith in them to play 60 minutes but you cant boot wade now.

For better or worse it cant change now.

Bill Cowher...not all that young anymore but he's the right guy imo.

Cowher doesn't want to leave NC (I think his kids are in college there), it is speculated that he may replace Fox with the Panthers if they continue to tank.

Singletary is not young or mean ...

Don't you want a coach that knows the game and knows how to motivate players and use the talent he has. You don't have to be young, mean, or even eat fire for that matter to do that.

I dont want Gruden....

IMHO....from what I read from past Bucs players....Gruden was a two face liar.....

He won a SB because he inherited a very good ball club that happened to face a team that Gruden coached and knew all their plays.

Buc players even stated they knew the plays before the ball was snapped

Sorry....Gruden might be a cowboy homer.....but I dont want him as coach.

Nothing against 60+ years guys, but I am tired of these guys who are mentally half retired and would retire again in 2-3 years. What he id with Farve was 14 years back when he has something to prove. I don't think it would be exactly the same magic if he comes now

We all know that Jerry isn't going to hire that young, hungry coach who is itching to become a head coach in the NFL lie Josh McDaniels or Mike Tomlin. We all know this would be the correct thing to do. This is a copycat league and football is evolving every year. But Jerry is too old school for it, and he curses this team everyday.

I needed a good laugh today. Thank you sir.:lmao:

the best laugh I had today was gordon keith doing his patent Fake jerry ...

His hillarious line this morning while doing fake jerry was

"We played to the level of their Stadejum and not ours"

I was in tears this morning.

2 seconds later I was right back to sulking and being disgusted.

The first thing that needs to happen is Jerry retire and let Stephen take over as owner.

Not at all.

I am firmly against any coach who is over 55.

Coaches, just like players, have a shelf-life. Once coaches hit 55, it's like a RB hitting 30.

Fire Wade, now before the Bye week, and promote Garrett to Interim Head Coach.

I am all for it, although i don’t believe Garrett is worthy of coaching girls soccer. Somehow he would have the slow bow legged girl trying to kick the game winning goal.

Get Wade out of here, let Garrett warm the seat and lets get Mr. Gruden a name plate.

Well good...Cowher is 52:laugh2:

I see what you are saying, and I agree that coaches can burn out...Parcells did it here.

I just don't think Cowher is burned out, I think he's got a lot of fire left.

No, we don't care about that. Number one priority is looking energetic and getting pissed on the sideline.

Wow really??? I thought he was older than that, thanks for correcting me.

All I want is a coach with fire. That is much needed with this team. Much needed.

This isn't about "rewarding" Garrett.

We're looking at a team that is completely uninspired by its Head Coach. Wade is not a long-term solution under any circumstance, and if we manage to make the playoffs with him at the helm, it'll be DESPITE him not BECAUSE of him.

So he needs to be gone, and the sooner the better.

In the meantime, we have a young guy in Garrett who, just a couple of years ago we almost turned the whole team over to. Jerry's paying him a ton, and more than a few people have pegged him as head coaching material. He's already on staff, so I don't see any harm in jettisoning Wade's dead weight sooner rather than later and seeing if Garrett might be able to perform better as the Head Coach than he's done as the OC.

The worst case scenario is a non-playoff season, which is what we're looking like at this point anyway.

It's entirely possible that he rises to the occasion if given the opportunity. He probably won't but I certainly know that Wade isn't going to get any better.

When Garrett is given the team he needs to be told that it's playoff win or bust. It's as simple as that.

We can't keep the status quo, though, and expect things to change. And you're not going to get a quality guy in here mid-season, so might as well roll with a long-shot who's already on staff.

You've sold me. Plus statistics are highly against coaches Wade's age winning super bowls. I want to say it's happened maybe twice - Vermeil and someone else?

I've seen enough of Grandpa Wade.

To me, of the "name" coaches that are being discussed, Gruden is the best candidate.

The guy resurrected the Raiders even though he worked for Al Davis, he has won a Super Bowl and he still wants it bad (publicly stated he would leave MNF because he wants to coach again).

Also, he has the personality that would not be overwhelmed being the HC of the Cowboys. The fact is he would love the chance to coach on the big stage that is Dallas!

Chucky in Dallas would be great entertainment!
