On a scale of 1-10, how upset are you about the Tapper and Jaylon Smith picks?

0 on Tapper

5 on Smith.

If Smith pans out, he could be one of the best 2nd round picks in the last 25 years. If not............................

If Sean Lee stays healthy.
If Lawrence can stay on track
If Gregory can stay on track

It's always if with these guys. I'm ready for them to deviate from these blue light specials but it doesn't look like they will. Jerry likes to try and seem like some wizard in the draft picking these guys no other teams want.

The Smith pick was just an unnecessary risk. It was stupid.

Tapper I don't fault them for because it's not reasonable to expect the team to know in advance about a previously undiagnosed congenital condition. It is unfortunate, though.

If I was down on the picks it would be because of a long term projection not first year impact.

I'm down on the team doctors who apparently missed a back condition Tapper had for years.

Yeah i'm not sure what that's about. I've never heard about a back issue until the season was about to start.

How is it a unnecessary risk? That would imply this team can't use a Jaylan Smith on it?

We hit on zeke,Dak,Collins, brown. How many do you expect? If jaylen smith pans out this could be one of our greatest drafts ever. I have no hope for tapper.

It implies there were players there who definitely could have helped and who could help this season. There was no reason to take the injury risk on at #34.

Especially with how well our offense is playing...we could actually make noise this year..

I was actually excited about Tapper when we drafted him ...but uh .

The Gregory and Death Ro nonsense was bad enough and now this.
the Smith pick is going to deliver super results for us.
Tapper has been a flop at this point

But its the 2nd round lol. That's where the most riskiest players are at because those are the guys who people either think were first rounders that slipped for some odd reason or they are injury risks or risks in general. At #34 you're taking a risk regardless so I have no problem hitting for the fences as opposed to going for a base hit.

with Jaylon the only number or symbol I can give right now is ?........when I wake up one day and check Twitter and see "the nerve has fired back up" or something along those lines....it will be a 1.........Tapper is nobody's fault unless it comes out that this back issue was well known before the draft......

If you're complaining about the 2016 draft class you're missing the forest for the tree. The tree is playing QB.

Literally just hit me the reality that we picked Dak and Zeke in the same draft. Whoa. Dak's just playing like a vet right now. If Smith turns out to be what he was expected to be....

Our team just drafted Zeke, Dak and Smith in the same draft. Mind blown. Premature, I realize, but really. Imagine that.

You're not taking a risk at #34 though. There were players who represented immediate upgrades and who were healthy sitting on the board. We didn't need to risk a guy never making it back, we didn't need to risk him coming back not as good, and we didn't need to wait a year to get him on the field.

but thats the point of risk/reward Smith by all accounts I have read was a big reward-just one year away

Assuming he can play again. Assuming, if he does, he'll be as effective as he used to be.

I get it. But hitting on a low risk player who could help immediately was more important than swinging for the 2017 fences. Give me Sheppard this year over Smith whenever he can get back, if he can get back.
