Micah.....are you listening? Your money is being discussed.
As it should, dude is smelling himself waaaaay too much, thinks he’s the next LT but not close. Disappears in big games, out of position vs the run….he doesn’t have the killer instinct LT did.

Still amazed at how many blatant holds teams get away with against Parsons

....seen this narrative coming miles away. Too much talk on social media, weaknesses and flaws surfacing, and soon the Board Salary Capologists will turn 180 on him as the rookie contract comes to an end. Not surprised, just hope he introduces more technique to his craft more. He is finding out he is too small for runs coming his way. Only LT could get by off pure talent in creating havoc on an offense EVERY game.

Micah is getting heat. He hears everything and responds so how about he address this. Danny McCray said the same thing about him while everybody was pointing at Mazi. Hmmmm

Micha shows me nothing as a real linebacker. He's no Ken Norton against the run and isn't even an LVE against the pass. So? What is he as a linebacker?????
Well that is just it, he never played much at LB, so hard to learn that position if your playing DE and getting accolades doing that.
This season teams no how to defend him better and they have him doing other things , and have not let him settle in anywhere.
With every player it is up to how the coaches use him whether he excels or not.

IMO he is best at being a rogue de who is allowed to rush when and where HE wants, not the coach or play call.
HIs job would not be sacks, but to disrupt and harass the qb

Micah Parsons is being misused.

I've had this debate several times, so I'm already used to being ganged up on. I realize how unpopular my opinion is and how impressive those sack numbers are. Seriously, he certainly influences the vast amount of pressure put on opponent quarterbacks.

However, Micah Parsons is a linebacker. He is a 6 foot 3, 245 pounds with elite speed. Why is he not in the center of the Cowboys defense, protected by huge DT's, with the ability to reach either sideline in a matter of nanoseconds? Why isn't he given free range to search and destroy?

Instead, he has to defeat two 300-pound O-linemen almost every play for an opportunity to tackle the quarterback 12-15 times this year. By the 12th game of the season, he is totally spent. Look at his three late season results:

So far in his career, Micah has participated in 12 games beyond a game #12. Counting this season, he has been in three #13, Three #14, and two each of #15, #16, and #17. That's 12 games.

In those games, the contenders are jockeying for best seeding, giving them the optimum opportunity at a Super Bowl Championship. In those 12 games, Micah Parsons has a total of 5.5 sacks, 19 solo tackles, 11 QB hits, 1 forced fumble, and 6 tackles for a loss.

Now compare those 12 late season games with the first 12 games of any of his seasons, go ahead, pick a season.

I'll pick this season. In the first 12 games he had 11.5 sacks, 23 solo tackles, 26 QB hits, 1 forced fumble, and 13 tackles for a loss.

This is the time of the season when the Cowboys need the best players to play their best and every season, Parsons fades. I don't believe it's a lack of effort. He is being worn down by going face to face with some players that are 100 pounds heavier.
\
In some cases, the opponent offense simply excludes him by running the play on the other side. If he was in the center of the defense, they couldn't do that.

Micah should be leading the league in solo tackles. He should be in the same position as Damone Clark or Marquese Bell. Let Dorance Armstrong, Sam Willians and Dante Fowler deal with the pass rush.

Unfortunately, this is a conversation for next season. Micah is used up. His history says so and it makes sense considering the way he is being misused.

true or false? coaches did their job and got us into the playoffs?

true or false? we cant reasonably judge the coaches and their plan until its a do or die game?

true or false? we have to wait and see what transpires from coaching and players until a do or die game?

Respectfully, false on all three.

The coaches did not do their job. We can reasonably judge the coaches and their plan at this time. We don't have to wait, a "do or die" game is subject to interpretation.

I for one am not surprised what happened on defense last night. It was the same thing that happened last year when Hankins went down. So sick of hearing about how great Will McClay is at drafting. He's had two huge misses on defense in the first round. Don't get me started on Jerry the hapless GM. This guy couldn't build a sandwich as a NFL GM. We all know the guy who built those great 90 teams will go into the Ring of Honor in a few weeks. 28 years and counting for Jerry to even try to sniff out that success has ended in failure. OK.. Defense. I'm starting with the most overrated defensive player in football. Micah Parsons. One trick pony. Occasionally he can rush the quarterback good-mainly at JerryWorld. His run defense awful. How can you be a so called top defensive star with one tackle??? I for one if GM of Dallas paying this guy as a top defensive player is laughable. He's not. Now if dummy Jerry wants to pull up the money train to his wallet-go straight ahead. I'd trade him first. He useless in the run defense as a linebacker. He might as well be moved to defensive end but even then he wouldn't hold the edge in the run game. Big mouth Tank running his mouth all last week. Got the samething done to him. "Hit them in the mouth then hit them again-then again:facepalm:

Our worthless GM...I'm sitting on the couch and saying all season. If Hank goes down we are so screwed. How can I see it and the GMless doesn't? Jerry had all season to address this issue- yet he stayed pat and once again we will suffer for his ineptitude. Back in Summer camp-it was easy to see that we were lacking at true MLB also. Our good defensive teams always had great MLB. Quinn wants to get cute and try using safeties. The game has passed Dan Quinn by. He rarely makes in game adjustments especially on the road. So what to do-you may ask???? Rob somebodies practice squad is the only thing left. I know it's late in the season to bring somebody in. But what other option do we have at this point? And next season overrated McClay. Draft anywhere but Michigan. Take physical players from schools like Georgia-Florida-Alambama. Quit drafting these cupcakes-from cupcakes soft college teams. Start with a DT. then go MLB. Then a hardnosed safety. That would be a great start-if you get the right ones. But all in all I had Dallas at 12-5 at the start of September. And I said the defense is our biggest problem. A problem the GMLess didn't address especially after the injuries. Sad that we lose one guy and your run defense goes to hell. But that's were we are at. So stupid that Quinn didn't start run blitzing or put safeties in the box. Quinn has been a disappointment as have all the coaches been a huge disappointment outside of JerryWorld making in game adjustments IMHO. So, I have them losing at Miami. Winning the next 2 games there after.Butnhopefully the trend of not losing back to back continue and we beat Miami.
There goes the typical hiding Cowboy hater u mean fan!!

Part of the problem. We needed an NT that can play NOW, not one who might be good in 2-3 years.

This is where not using FA kills us.

All the other top teams do, while these two think they can get away with not….and that’s a big part of why we always fall short.
This is the post we needed a nose tackle years ago not a 22-year-old kid that is going to take time to develop.

This kid could develop into Aaron Donald but our window will be closed by then as of this point he hasn't even put on his man weight yet.

Running backs and wide receivers come out of college ready to rock they have what's important to their position speed reaction time.
Lineman
Need time to develop put on muscle and weight to anchor their position it doesn't happen overnight

This is one of those times that I wish there was a Dislike option for posts..

Of all the people that are deserving of criticism in the Dallas Cowboys Organization, you choose to call out Will McClay?? Since he became V.P. of Player Personnel in 2014 the Cowboys are ranked 2nd. overall in NFL - Pro Bowlers Drafted. Naturally there are a few picks that he missed on, but the good far outweighs the bad. The main reason this team is 2 wins away from a 3rd. consecutive season with a minimum of 12-wins, is largely due to the fact that they draft exceedingly well.. McClay deserves much credit for that.

Yes, Hankins is a big loss to the defense, but if you haven't noticed, this defense hasn't been the same since Diggs was lost for the year with an ACL.. Then we lost the much-maligned LVE to a neck injury.. ** The way the defense got destroyed against the Bills, it's hard to credit anyone with a good effort, but Mazi Smith played 32 snaps and was credited with 2 tackles and a run stop; Most of the Bills running plays were to the outside and away from the interior, which limited Mazi's opportunities.**

Micah gets held and choked nearly every play. Then he vanishes other times. We need him to be what he says he is. Tired of the talk. If he would be consistent, he might make a difference.
