I disagree with Hoof that the polls are doing Boise wrong I think the polls are being fair by putting Oregon above them for the simple fact that they had to face a top ranked team and won outside of that I have seen many of Boise games and they too deserve the spot they have at #4 and should someone slip up I would not be surprised at Boise making it unlike others they do have to depend on others. If you too loser sooners can't handle that then so be it

It was the first game of the season and the voters thought VT was a decent team. They weren't, and BSU barely beat the team that lost to JAMES MADISON. I'll say that again, JAMES MADISON! It doesn't matter what they were ranked, because the computers will calculate what they do week in week out. So as of right now, BSU beat an unranked VT team, unless VT goes on a run and makes it back into the top 25.

Same thing for OSU. They WERE, key word, WERE, ranked. That doesn't mean anything unless they STAY ranked. We'll see about Nevada. If they remain ranked, then that will be one quality win, but we all know Nevada is a fluke and will die off soon enough.

UCLA is now moving up beating Texas you think that helped them move up the polls? of couse if does and does not take away from UCLA even though Texas is out of the top 25. Come on Dooms. Sure it may look good at the time to beat VaTech because they were ranked, but when you pull back at the end of the regular season and re-evaluate the ranking of that time has less meaning. Unless of course VaTech kicks butt the rest of this year, but they could also go out and lose 2 more games this year.

If Texas goes on to lose 2 or 3 more games this year, the UCLA win looks less impressive. There is a reason that some people push for ending pre-season polls. That is partly why the BCS waits until mid-season to release their first rankings. They want everything to settle down a bit. I know personally I don't care where a team was ranked at the time of the match up. I care about where those opponents are ranked in December.

Also, if Oregon St. goes on to beat Oregon late this year, that is going to work in favor of both Boise and TCU.
