I honestly don't think Tony was very well-liked by most teammates. Just from blurbs on here and by ex-teammates. I think a lot of them felt he had too much personnel sway on playing time and that indirectly affects their potential for a pay day. I also don't think he bothered with many of his teammates post-practice or games.

Right or wrong- that will affect team chemistry over time.

Interesting perspective. Never thought about that. Any outside sources on that? Hope it isn't true.

Haven’t listened to the interview yet but they’re hoping for some dirt on the team by bringing these players on. They’re hoping they’re disgruntled. Saying Romo ran the show was a dig at Garrett for sure. During a game this season OScan got in Garrett’s face.

At what freaking point does this actually begin to register with Jerry? Never?

How many players have to say this crayon offense Garrett is running is a freaking joke before somebody in the organization wakes the hell up and realizes it?

Opposing players have been saying for years that they pretty much can call out the play before the snap and now we have several of our own players saying the exact dam thing and yet Scotty and Clappy are still here.

And some of you guys cant understand why we have missed the playoffs 5 of the last 7 seasons

That’s the problem with this team the players go to Jerry. It all starts and ends with him. Players in NE fear Belichick just like Cowboy players feared Jimmy back in the day. I’ve seen a number of interviews from some of the old players talking about the fear Jimmy brought.

Honestly...I got so much respect for that kid. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since he a Boise State kid. Still...complete stand up guy. I'll say it right now...If the Cowboys were to make a move w/ Garrett....Scandrick might be a guy I might look @ as the head guy...since the way the orginazation is constructed isn't gonna change. I think he has the players respect. He has a feel for the team...He knows how the NFL works. And let's be honest...The Cowboys have never had a black head coach. And the city of Dallas...the majority is black. I think the city would welcome him. You see how the Steelers are built around Mike Tomlin. I kind of think the Cowboys tried to go the route of Tom Landry....thinking Garrett would grow into that legacy like Landry. Problem is...the city of Dallas has changed. It's not the 60-70's. It's 2018. The times have changed. Hence the Cowboys need to change. If you could give me a competent black head coach...then I think America is ready for that change. It sure and the hell beats the every weekend.

5th...so under-rated when he was drafted. I had rated 3rd round...thought he would produce more INTs..ute he has been stuck in this soft zone scheme/blitzing off the corner in the slot...the coaching staff hasn't done him any favors in regards to getting him numbers.He could have been a very solid CB on the outside on either side...guy has always been a team player...and done what the staff has asked him to do. Couldn't ask for more.

if your going to start hiring according to percentages of a cities population, and based on skin color, then yes. That's what ur advocating.

There were some games in 2016 that could easily have been losses. Our record could have been 10-6 or worse. Not saying that would have all been on Dak, but records can be deceiving when discussing a coaches' success.

A couple of breaks and the team could have been 15-0 going into the Eagles game in 2016. They could have easily been 11-5 this year. Garrett is a good coach. I think the talent on the team is overrated. We have 6 elite players and rest are Jags.

Have to say, Scandrick really impressed me in this interview. As I said before, if he's gone, I sincerely hope he plays well for his next team (as long as they aren't playing the Cowboys). He seems like a really good person

He seems kinda humbled but genuine! Always like him but listening to him he also seems guarded about what he says. He sure defended DEz to the bitter end then ended the question about Beasley abruptly! It also kinda slipped out that Tony was running the show. These are the interviews that confirm my suspicions that Garrett really isnt doing his job. Scandrick will probably be moving on but he tried to leave the door open to stay with Dallas.
I think Butler and Scandrick would love to say a lot more about whats going on but they dont want to be Kapernicked!

Just listened to the interview and both Bayless and Sharpe tried to bait Scandrick into providing some dirt and he wouldn’t bite. He looked totally prepared for what they were going to do. Sharpe tried like hell to get Scandrick to crap on Dez and he wouldn’t do it. He stood by Dez the entire time. He backed his teammates including the young corners. They tried to get him to say he was better than the young corners and Scandrick would have none of it.

The comment he made about Romo running the show wasn’t a dig at Garrett. He was talking about the 2014 season and how the offense operated under Romo but Sharpe continued to try and get some dirt out of him. Scandrick sat there calm and relaxed knowing Sharpe and Bayless would try and pull something out of him that might create some waves. They didn’t get what they wanted.

But they did! When he said Romo was running the show, you could see he realized he was stepping on the line. Why did he abruptly snuff out the Beasley talk!
We all know why, because Dez wanted the ball and Jerry wanted Dez to get the ball. That is EXACTLY why that conversation was ended so quickly!

That's not unique to Romo and Garrett. How did Green Bay do without Rodgers? How have the Colts done without Luck? Think Brees doesn't affect Payton's won/loss record?

Elite QBs elevate coaches. That's one of the qualities that makes them elite. Conversely, coaches can elevate not-so-elite QBs. Zimmer is an example of that this season.

GreenBay did better with their back up Hundley than Garrett did with Weeden, Cassel or Moore
