No, I'm pretty sure they have conclusive evidence he didn't bite the guy. I'm not sure what your common sense tells you about DNA evidence, but I'm sure the Nevada state judge that's assigned the case would love to hear about it.

No, they have conclusive evidence that there was no matching DNA. Quite a far way from conclusive proof he didn't do it. The absence of either inculpatory or exculpartory evidence is meaningless. I was conducting a criminal investigation once where a witness said that he did not see the criminal act take place. The defendant tried to use that testimony to prove the act never occurred. That just doesn't fly. The fact is a crime was committed. The absence of proof is not proof that no crime occurred. It isn;t a difficult concept.

No, I don't know that he's the bad guy. I'm simply suggesting that grandstanding is a potential reason for going forward with the case. People were wondering and I offered a reason.

Sure you did mean the DA is the bad guy. By claiming he is grandstanding, you are equating him with Nifong. You are implying that he is either making up the charges, or stretching the facts, for the sole purpose of political gain. That is not saying he is evil? And you base this opinion because, you say, his law school was not very good. Well, neither was Lincoln's!

Yes, I've worked in the court system. I'm glad you don't need DNA evidence.

And I do hope you share these opinions during voir dire if you're ever called for jury duty. If you want to get immediately struck from a jury, these are great opinions to share with the court.
