They believed Jaylon was a two year project when they drafted him,, the patience of Jerry is truly amazing.
i don't blame Jerry as he entrusted in his medical staff and specialists that even performed the key surgery that convinced Jerry, scouts that Jaylon had a chance to
be very close to once top 10 overall prospect he used to be pre-injury.
They believed (hoped) Jaylon would eventually recaptured the lateral movement and bend that he previously had at Notre Dame before he had
the horrific ACL and nerve damage knee injury.
While it looked promising early on, when he was going forward and straight-linish, but he's an utter mess when he has to change directions or move
laterally.
I often wondered if a lot of his downfall flaws to his game (coverage, edge rush, stuck to blockers, mis-guessing gaps, etc ) has to do with him trying to over compensate for
those knee issues.
