I give a third for Jeffrey, today.
True, but Romo has been far more effective than Alshon Jeffrey in recent times. That guy has been awol for some time.
Romo took multiple spears to the back against the Giants, not just one hit.
We need another WR.TWill is inconsistent, Beasley is a role player and everyone else is a nobody. With Dez out we are limited offensively regardless of the QB. Not sure Jeffries is the guy, but with him on the field, opposing Defenses wouldn't be so cavalier about stacking the box.
My god
We are just asking to get back into RWII territory again.
Not a first, just a third and get a third or fourth back as a comp a year later.
Can you tag a player you traded for?
Our backups aren't going to throw to him anymore than williams or street. WR isn't the issue to help us get through this
Where would you rather spend that 10+ million a year? On another linebacker?
He demands attention, even double teams.
and for him I would give up our 3rdI would take Aaron Rodgers over Weeden.
Alshon Jeffery could help buy us enough time for the return of Dez. Really the key is to win a minimum of 3 games by the time Romo returns, but ideally 4 or 5.
Cassel will supplant Weeden soon enough, and we need to give the running game more room.
I wouldn't be against trading for both Forte and Jeffery. I'd give up a 2nd for both of them.
They're both free agents at the end of the year, and I'd say unlikely to stay in Chicago.
Don't think Jeffery is a top 5 receiver though, not sure where that came from, but to win a super bowl I wouldn't mind restacking this offense while the defense is about to get into groove, but may need some boost until Romo/Dez return. When they return though, now you also have extra weapons on offense. It'll be pretty tough to stop Dez and Alshon.
Well I wouldn't trade anything more than a 3rd rounder for a rental.
This organization has already showed they don't want to spend big money on running backs and they've invested enough in defensive linemen to be okay there as well. They do not need to spend big money anywhere unless its re-signing a few guys.
This is not about our future. This is about now. And if you are truly trying to take advantage of Romo's prime how is this not the move to do?
and for him I would give up our 3rd
Heck maybe even our 2nd
Romo had a cyst removed and he had a fracture at the end of a bone in his back.
He didn't have the classic 'back' surgeries that lead to future problems. It wasn't disc or spine related.
