Take it from me: the cowboys should've won 11 games in 2011. Romo is the reason we didn't.

Eli's defense in 2011?

Was Marino the reason they didn't? Was Fouts the reason they didn't? Just checking in on Hall of Famers.

The only thing anybody can take from you is another tired, cliched argument and here you go getting crushed again.

Eli was the benefactor of two of the greatest defensive runs in NFL Playoff history in their last two Super Bowls. In 2011 they gave up an average of 14 PPG in 4 games. In 2007 they gave up a whopping 16 PPG. In this day and age of offense that's unbelievable. Seattle gave up 13 PPG last year.

Romo has NEVER had that defensive support. BTW it would hep if his receivers wouldn't have dropped a couple TD passes in 2011 but don't let that figure into your reasoning.

Tell Romo to win a Super Bowl and it all goes away. Then you can make as many mistakes as you want. See Peyton and Eli. Peyton used to get tons of grief early in his career until he won. Eli really outside of those 2 seasons, has played very bad but no one says anything because of the ring.

The ring changes everything. Wilson will never have to go through what Romo does.

Well I guess we'll never win until we find a defense that can pitch shut outs.

Brady D gave up 30+ and 24 yeasterday, your weak *** would be complaining about Romo lack of defense had he lost an either game.

You give up 18 points on the road in a winner take all situation I believe that's more than good enough for an all world QB to make something happen.

He still pooped his drawers in that situation. I believe our defense could've went on that type of run in 2011, but Romo's failures prevented the team from even making the playoffs.

Marino's a loser btw..

Well I do think he is vastly overrated. If you take away his receivers running pick plays as well as the very lucky jump balls hes put up the last month it dosnt leave much but a good running game and a good defense. If he was on a team with a lesser defense/run game you would never hear his name mentioned w/o the word bust behind it.

I thought about this some more today. Russell Wilson with the horrible pass and play call will be forever linked with blowing the Super Bowl. This is far worse than Romo bobbling the snap in the Seatttle playoff game. At least that play had zero to do with Romo playing QB.

No one is going to forget that pass. No one.

When Dallas played NY the first time I was worried that a capable qb would find ways to shred this defense.

That was the week after they beat Seattle.

My prediction for Wilson is that he'll lose some of his burst/quickness during the next couple of years and become a marginal starter after that. I hope Seattle gives him a massive long term contract because they will be shopping for a new QB before he hits 30. Book it.

Wilson had a combined 4 or 5 completed throws in the first half of the SB and NFC championship games, yet remained in the games both times. You think Romo could do the same and not be down by at least 17 points? Russel just has to try and not lose games with the D he had. Romo doesn't have the same luxury

If Romo had 4 picks before halftime like Wilson did vs GB, we are down 30 points before anyone can blink.

But honestly, I do think Wilson is very good...and much better than some around here give him credit for.

But having the leagues top rated defense is a nice security blanket too.

It kind of shocks me. I don't see what everybody else sees in Wilson. I see a capable guy who's got a good, positive personality and the best situation in football. But he's been a liability the last two games. And it's a mistake to pay him a mega-deal, too. That SEA team wins because of it's defense, and specifically because of it's secondary. It's bizarre to me that that somehow buys the QB a mulligan or three when it comes to evaluating his play in these big games.

I normally am on board with you but here we differ
this kid is 26 years old and while your right his on a
great team he normally gets it done
he'll also get better and better
Seattle has themselves a QB

The irony is during the game when SEA was up 10 I said if Tom Brady brings the Pats back all the talk will be about how he is th ebest of all time.
No one will mention he was single-handedly terrible on those 2 INTS that dug the whole.

SEA and NE had great defenses that really carried those clubs.
Those QBs get tremendous respect but I do not think either guy was close to as good this season as Rodgers or Romo.

Must be nice not to have any blame or labels placed on you when you make a mistake. If Romo makes that INT we are all talking about Romo and his mistakes. But since its Russell Wilson, noones talking about him, but rather Carroll and the play call. I guess the 50+ pass calling plays that he used to have to throw in years past puts tremendous pressure on Romo to succeed or else.

Like in many walks of life, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Unfortunately for Tony it was fumbling the ball on a FG attempt. Fair or unfair it is just the way it is.

One team/Qb/Coach won the superbowl last year. The other team/QB/Coach had three straight 8-8 seasons, after multiple playoff failures in prior seasons.

Hence why one gets blame and the other doesnt.

If Wilson's peak is anywhere as good as Romo's he would have had a fabulous career.

Right now he couldn't hold Romo's jock strap.

After last night in Russell Wilson's tenure, SEA is 1-8 in games where the opposing team score 24 or more points.

Interesting. Not sure all that reflects on Wilson as they are a run team who is relatively conservative. Love that defense.

Oh, I think they have themselves a QB, too. And I agree, he'll get better. I just don't think they have an elite guy at that position. They don't really need it, though, because they're so difficult to throw against on defense.

The, people want to think in absolutes. Wilson is obviously capable at running the Seattle offense, but that offense is limited. The Seattle Seahawks were constantly going 3 and out, making it extremely easy for the Patriots offense to wear down the Seattle defense, which rushes four regularly. Why would you not even challenge the Patriots offense during the whole first and a large portion of the second half? No attempts to mix it up, nothing attempts to challenge the LBs on passes up the middle. Just a few throws down the sidelines by Wilson in essentially desperation, make something happen mode. The only time they went spread was the last drive.

How do you pay big bucks for a QB when this is how you use him. And then you got Lynch and we all know the lifespan of RBs isn't long.

Wilson is a HUGE part of their offense. Not sure what QBs can do much with Baldwin and Kearse as your starting WRs. Wilson will be fine, I'd pay him whatever he wants...he will only get better

This says it all for your arguments.

You like Marino?

Didn't like him as a youngster. Always was a Montana/Elway guy. Even liked Bernie Kosar. Never liked stinko Marino

Don't like QB's who show up teammates when things go wrong, Marino was the king of that.
