Peyton takes 4 million pay cut. Romo should do same.

Sure you would. I mean because it means more to you to make a bunch of millionaires even bigger millionaires simply for the sake of it. To hell with your own finances, huh? You're either terminally stupid or full of ****.

No I would. If all of had to do is take alittle pay cut to help keep a big member of my company and make the company better I woukd do it.

Where does all the talk of rich owners with plenty of money come from? There is a hard cap in the NFL. Doesn't matter how rich the owners are. There is only so much money available to spend on players salaries.

They haven't restructured yet and they plan on signing Dez which will get his hit lowered from the tag.

They have planned on it since last year. Still hasn't happened. Also a 4 mill pay cut will help the team add a player that can help this team.

yeah right, a 33% pay cut for no reason, except making your boss richer

I hope that was a joke

Maybe a little one but all kidding aside, the contract negotiations are where you manage your cap. You can't just pay everybody what they want, regardless of how good they may be.

I don't understand why everyone wants to protect romo money for. People are getting hard for it. I mean we could add a good player by freeing up 4 million from romo. That's a player that could start and make a difference.

Because it's nonsensical.

Romo pay cut wouldn't make Kerry any richier. The plan would be to take that money saved and spend it on another player to help win.

Look at what Duncan and the spurs did. There is a salary cap. So forget about how rich Jerry is.

Power to you dude. I would leave that to the people in charge that should have made the correct decisions in the first place to put the company in the position to succeed to begin with rather than falling on the proverbial sword to screw myself out of my value and make up for the shortcomings of people being paid way more than I am for their mistakes. But that's just me.

And, BTW, there's a big difference in a "little pay cut" and what people are suggesting Romo do.

No its not. Manning just did it.

Restructure frees up 13m in space with a pen stroke
Do TSmith and its another 8m
Do Witten and another 3m

If I was making 17 million and I could wi a superbowl by taking a 3 to 4 million pay cut then yes I would

That's why I said right now with your current job....to make it actually more real.
Anyone (including me) saying they would take a cut if they were Romo (or whomever) are saying so in 100% pure theory. It could never happen, so it's easy to say we would.

Romo major shortcoming is never winning a superbowl. He's so close right now towards the end of his career and you don't want to help win. Look at what Duncan did to win another. Why shouldn't Romo

Right but it pushes it down the road making it harder to cut or release a player in the future. Sure it's fine for younger players like Smith but romo could break his back this year and retire. Look at his cap hit next year if he gets restructured and the retires. Be about a 20 million cap Hit. Bow that's nonsense

I have learned not to count other people's money. Save myself alot of headaches over the years.

Regarding now and a possible Super bowl run....
But he DOES help them now with a restructure...same amount or more cap wise.
