Peyton takes 4 million pay cut. Romo should do same.

That's why I said right now with your current job....to make it actually more real.
Anyone (including me) saying they would take a cut if they were Romo (or whomever) are saying so in 100% pure theory. It could never happen, so it's easy to say we would.

Sure it is. If I was worth 50 million and everything in life is set up for my future and already making 17 what's 3 to 4. Nothing.

I don't understand why everyone wants to protect romo money for. People are getting hard for it. I mean we could add a good player by freeing up 4 million from romo. That's a player that could start and make a difference.

Why does it have to be Romo's money? Shouldn't everyone want to give up their paychecks to win? Or is it just Romo's problem?

Maybe they can pass a hat around the locker room and everyone can pitch in for this $4 million dollar player that is going to propel us to the SB.

Regarding now and a possible Super bowl run....
But he DOES help them now with a restructure...same amount or more cap wise.

But it pushes the saving down the road. What happens if he retires because he breaks his back again. Then what. A salary cut does nothing to the future cap.

You were talking about a Super Bowl now....now you switched it salary cap due top some theoretical situation down the road.
Which is it?

It's both. Let romo take a pay cut to add a player to help this team wiN. Not restructure to hurt the cap I the future

Romo earned this contract and should not even be asked to take a pay-cut. If he does out of the goodness of his heart, kudos to him.

Those two are in two different situations anyways, Manning makes a lot more dinero from other ventures.

Romo didn't earn that contract. He can thank Drew Brees and Joe Flacco for setting the market by winning SuperBowls to set the market for him and other qb's to follow. Kapernick and Russell Wilson have and will get the same deals.

Sure I do. I would take a 3000 year pay cut to keep a few of my co workers

you only make 18k per year?

And next, can we get that in writing and talk to your employer about your volunteered paycut?

You know, I'm just dogging you, right?

No I make alot more but that is about the same. 3 million to a guy that's already has million's and making millions is about the same as 3000 to me.

In that case, any player at any position and in any field of work can say the same thing.

You say that.

To make it fair, it should be percentage-wise.

It's not just Mr. Romo's call. MRS. Romo also has a big say in the matter. Don't think she'd appreciate Mr. Romo just giving up some of the family's future because it might help the team's winning percentage go up a percentage point or two.

Mrs. Brandon Carr is saying the same thing, unfortunately Cowboys fans want him to take a pay cut and will be pissed if he didn't.

So take a well below market deal for his contract to begin with(8th highest paid qb), come off an mvp caliber season, now we just need you to take a slight 25% pay cut. Yeah I dont know how you think this would even resemble being something logical.
