I'm all for Elliott being punished by the league if he did it. However, there are only two people who know if he did. One of them has proven to be a liar who said she would ruin the career of the other. It's hard for me to get past that when there could be other reasons for her bruises, especially since she has shown that she will involve herself in fights.

basically you accept nfl's finding without question.
you are looking for an excuse to find him guilty.
like i said, guilty until proven innocent.

I am not looking for an excuse. But I do find it hard to believe that 4-5 smart people would study this for a year and not come to a reasonable conclusion. There is no doubt Zeke would be innocent in a court of law, but those rules don't apply here.

I also believe that Zeke would flat out deny it if he were innocent. He hasn't done that.

This isn't a court of law. The following evidence has swayed the NFL committee to believe that Zeke committed abuse:

1. Her testimony
2. She has photos of the bruises that match the dates/location she said they happened
3. The fact that Zeke/Tiffany were living together that week (puts him in the location)
4. A medical examiner is saying that the injuries in the photos were consistent with her testimony and abuse

All of Zeke's team is focused on events that occurred on his birthday, or the bar fight, which were later in the week and after the abuse, according to Tiffany's testimony collaborated with the time stamps.

if he is issuing punishment, it has to be in accordance with equal protection.
white man - 1 game while black man - 6 man even though accuser is liar with motif, admission of falsifying evidence.
it would be nice with a EEOC ruling that ultimately leads to goodell's demise.

I feel like this can only be argued a billion times. It's getting old.

Zeke is suspended I'm just gonna roll with being happy that we have DMC and Morris. It's a good thing for good depth.

dishing out punishment must be within equal opportunity clause.
i am sure even the NFL has equal opportunity in its charter, bylaws.
in facts, the all powerful CBA probably has equal opportunity clause in there.

It really is easy
If I were Zeke's team, I would be focusing on this for sure (the fact that you can edit time stamps on the photos). She could have edited the time stamps on the phone. That is way better than the other stuff being sent around by his mom and dad, which don't directly address the case the NFL has established.

I think how they are handling this is correct. If Zeke kept saying he was innocent doesn't prove anything. This needs to be brought to light to the public in a clear, concise and professional manner so that the we would know exactly the truth.

Just because she's crazy, doesn't mean he didn't put his hands on her. It's essentially the same thing as the Greg Hardy case.

Just because there are pics doesn't mean he actually caused those bruises. It goes both ways....however if she texted those things which one is more likely of lying?

So, in your world, a liar admitting to lying makes them more credible??? You should be a politician.

For almost anyone....A known liar admitting to lying is more credible than a known liar who keeps lying about everything.
Everyone lies, but only a few people lie all the time.

Does a thief that admits that he stole something make them more trustworthy in the future??? LOL You can tell them where you keep your valuables. I'll keep mine a secret.

The punishment is definitely inconsistent and too much.

I've been in federal law enforcement for 28 years. Once you prove a witness has lied, they're done. Period. Zero credibility. I realize this isn't a criminal setting, but the same principles apply, or at least they apply to reasonable people.

This may be the most moronic thing I've ever read on this board. That's something.

Who do you believe more? (1) Someone who keeps lying even when you catch them in a lie or (2) Someone who comes clean and says 'yeah I lied about that'. It's as simple as that.

I am not saying she is credible trust me, but apparently she was credible enough. Which makes me think she came clean on the lying about the incident on her birthday. She probably argued she was under extreme distress as well when she lied.
