Why does anyone listen to anything Drew Rosenhaus says? When the source for all the information is an agent everyone should notice the red flag.

Yeah, the RED flag is your team! Any bum player that needs a few more dollars before they are kicked to the curb naturally looks at the RedStinks first...

Players that your team signs don't care about football anymore...they are already beat up...they go there for the cash...

The cash that you suckers pay the Midget for a 5 - 11 team...

Any questions?

If Jerry Angelo truly killed the deal due to perceptions that the media knew before hand, it really makes me wonder about that organization.

This is a trade that, by far, weighs heavily in your (Chicagos) favor. You don't even have to haggle; the opposing team went and offered the farm from the outset. And you throw it out because your ego can't handle a percieved slight? Give me a break. That blows my mind.

After the offseason the bears had, I was already questioning their front office. Now with this, it is only solidified.

Bears, Commanders enter talks about a trade for Briggs

Associated Press

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- The Washington Commanders have talked with the Chicago Bears about disgruntled Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs, who has threatened to sit out the 2007 season after the NFC champions slapped a franchise tag on him.

"The two teams have talked and its in their hands now," Briggs' agent Drew Rosenhaus told the Daily Southtown of suburban Chicago on Tuesday. "It's out of my hands now."

Bears general manager Jerry Angelo, in town for the NFL meetings, said:

"We will take what [the Commanders] said under consideration and we told them if there's anything on our part we would get back with them," Angelo said, adding there is no timetable for a deal.

"I'm taking it under advisement. ... I didn't come down here anticipating any of this. I'll take it under consideration and get back with them."

Briggs, a two-time Pro Bowl linebacker, would earn $7.2 million in 2007 from the Bears, the average of the five highest salaries at his position.

He met Monday with Angelo.

let's see how Skin fans play this one off

Don't worry, Skins fans will be checking in here periodically to tell us how London Fletcher and Lance Briggs will be lighting up Tony Romo, Julius, and Marion. ;)
