Wrong again. They've spent multiple top picks on defense. In fact, they spent more top first 3 round picks on defense than offense.

What top picks are you talking about? Byron Jones was a late round pick, Taco a late round pick? Claiborne is the only pick I recall being a top pick. Unless I'm missing something? Or are you dating back to like 1999?

So Denver is a good team now? You should know better than to try and compare games in this league. Are we better than the Pats since we dominated the Chiefs and they beat the Pats?

Denver wasn't a good team then, but this inept staff helped them to look like Super Bowl contenders didn't they? And they made a guy who melted down and got benched for Brock Osweiler look like John Elway.

But nobody is now going to try to minimize the Broncos after they crushed the Cowboys.

Like Mcadoo and the NY Football Giants? Come on, Denver was a different team in the beginning of the year.

Are they? Or are they now just playing better coaches who know how to expose their weaknesses? While the Dallas staff made them look like geniuses.

We are playing severely handicapped. About the only thing that could be worse is losing Dak, which is coming if we keep letting defenders come free.

I would have really liked to see both teams at full strength vs the Eagles. I really think at full strength we are better than they are.

I refuse to believe Mcadoo is a better coach than Del Rio & Lynn. He might be better than Redball. lol.

They have most definitely made some risky, albeit, nice moves.

They bounced back amazingly well and shockingly fast after the debacle that was Chip Kelly.

I give them credit for quickly pulling the plug on something that wasn't working, despite Kelly's 10-win seasons.

They're quickly reaping the benefits of making bold decisions.

Their moves to get rid of Kelly's mistakes in Alonso and Byron Maxwell deals while actually getting something for them and moving up in the draft to ultimately get Wentz looks like genius.

Broncos are not a bad team at home. We made them look better than they were. I don't disagree. They just aren't a good team.

I actually think Garrett is better. At least he's not as arrogant as Mcadoo, a guy who has done nothing to have that attitude. He and the Giants are finished. For quite a while I think.

I'd agree that they're not a good team. Deeply flawed. But it pains me that our coaches were incapable of finding those flaws when it seems everyone else can.

Yes it was, but let's be fair. It's like the Herschel Walker trade. Someone had to get fleeced for it to happen. There was ineptitude on the other side of those trades that made it possible.

The Wentz move took some cojones for a new coach. Trading all those picks for a D1 two-year starter from the Missouri Valley Football Conference is how you lose your job year 1 if it doesn't work out.

Yeah their cap hell will hurt for a while. They should attempt to trade Eli and get something out of him to a contender if he has anything left on his contract. If not cut him loose and save the cap hit.

Doing nothing is also a risk. Everything has some level of risk. Just do what you think is right and pull the trigger.

That doesn't mean that I give the "fleecer" any less credit. If you can get a great deal, you take it.

They turned terrible deals to their ultimate benefit.

Gave up McCoy, Maclin, and several other players and ended up with Murray in an awful role, and Alonso and Maxwell, and terrible contracts. Not only did they get out of those deals, but they benefitted from them in the draft.

Credit where credit is due.

I don't think Peterson had all that much influence over the ultimate decision myself. I also think that no coach would lose his job after one year with a rookie quarterback.

And on the flip side, getting that #1 pick from the Vikings for Sam Bradford was very fortunate and bailed them out of a hole too. That move also looks like genius right now.

There were more defensive players picked in top 3 round picks in the JG era.

Bruce Carter was a high 2nd rounder
Mo was picked with 6th overall and another 2nd round pick was used to trade up. He costed more than Tyron Smith.
Crawford was a 3rd rounder
Wilcox was a 3rd rounder
Lawrence was a high 2nd rounder (pick 34) and another pick was used to trade up.
Byron Jones (27) was picked higher than Frederick (31)
Gregory was 2nd rounder
Jaylon Smith was a high 2nd rounder (34)
Maliek Collins was a 3rd rounder
Taco was a 1st rounder.

You keep bringing up the high picks used to pick offensive line. They actually used higher picks on defense yet they failed miserably with those picks. Mo was higher pick than Tyron. Byron Jones was a higher pick than Frederick.

JG also spent significantly more money on FA on defensive side. Carr was a big contract guy. Even with all this, he couldn't build a defense that can win without Wade's player.
