Both of Bama's edge guys are beasts. Unfortunately, both also have serious off the field concerns.

They don't have to be 6'6 250 lb players who look like they belong in the NBA like Garrett does. Kahlil Mack was perhaps the best defensive player in the league this year, and both of bama's DEs are built a lot like him. Probably not as good an athlete, but both are very good prospects. Not sure the Cowboys can afford to gamble on one of them, given the # of outstanding gambles Jones is already waiting to cash in on at DE and LB. If we want a passrusher at 28, we'll have to take one of those gambles, trade up, or hope someone like Taco slides to us.

Give me Tim Williams all day long....:flagwave:

It is different, because it's one play.

If you want to go out and sign Cordarrelle Patterson because you think he is going to return a kick for a TD in the Super Bowl. Go ahead. If you think that's actually going to make us more of a contender next year, you're delusional.

Loool, one play, yet the Ravens led the NFL in KR average that season.

Let me help you out lil'fella...

You created the bogus dichotomy of good KR/PR doesn't make Super Bowl winners. So I'm not saddled with defending that dumb perspective you've crafted because it's not something I've claimed.

I'd want to sign Patterson because he helps improve the team in that area. A good KR/PR game can flip the field, put points on the board and by extension change the outcome of games; any improvement to the team is a benefit to the team's overall success.

To think "oh, we signed Cordellee, we're going to win the Super Bowl" is a dumb conclusion nobody has made or drawn.

The workouts have become an incredible predictor of where a player is picked, however. And also of actual future production. Not perfect, but very, very good considering the limited data we do have on prospects.
All it says is that NFL teams also overvalue how some players look on the hoof.

If workouts correlated to NFL success, you would not see the dozens of UDFAs who don't post the incredible workout numbers that make teams over low round draft picks.

They were 20th lil' fella. Apparently, you don't know how to read.

Helps improve the team in a way that has absolutely no supporting evidence to show that it matters. It's like having a great long snapper. Totally useless.

It says kick and punt returns. I was talking about kick returns.

That's also just total yards, and INCLUDES RUSHING AND PASSING lol.

I'm done.

Yeah, I know....

You can't possibly be this dense, smh.

Click the link, hit the "Y/Rt" (yards per return) to sort it and you have your answer.

Scurry off now with your tail between your legs.

I think the data would say otherwise. Again, it's not a perfect proxy by any means. Clearly there are numerous other things impact success, including simple things like a desire to play better and be successful. But as a predictor of future ability/success, it's a surprisingly good one.

I mean, Ross has already had a 1,000 yard season with our QB so it'd be hard to complain I guess. That said, he just doesn't scream first rounder to me.

I doubt we're considering him in the first round.

idk, looked too quick I guess.

It doesn't change the fact that if you think Baltimore, or any team, won a Super Bowl because they had a good KR, you're an idiot.

Nah, you're just not bright.

So you're denying Jones' kick return for TD wasn't the difference in the 34-31 final score?

You should have just ran off instead of attempting to answer back with more stupidity.

Of course it was important.

A touchdown in every game is important. James Harrison's TD against Arizona was important, should we go out looking for DEs who can return fumbles?

I'm not bright but, when you say I'm looking at stats in a vacuum, you reference one play.

Lol, I referenced "one play" because you claim good KR/PR don't matter and "don't win Super Bowls."

And just one example your theory was rendered to what it is...crap.
