I still believe the Cowboys can be the 1 seed. Arizona looks to have lost Palmer for the year. Boys just need to keep Romo healthy and take care of the Eagles. I really hope they get 1 or 2 seed because that bye week will do wonders for the players. They would be able to go down to Cancun and rest up.

It's certainly possible. Arizona was in the driver's seat, but it's hard to imagine them keeping that position with their starting QB missing the final 7 games. There certainly isn't a clear-cut team to beat in the conference. Philly, Dallas, Green Bay, Detroit, Arizona … or maybe even a Seattle. Practically a coin flip.

I am programming myself not to think about the playoffs until 12/1 because I am hoping we are 9-3 after beating the eagles on turkey day

My working theory is the Cowboys and the Packers will play one another @ Dallas in the NFC Championship game.

The 1990s called and want their Cowboys playoff domination of the Packers back.

Meanwhile, the last-place teams in the AFC North are 6-4.

if we win the division then obviously we're good. Our biggest problems are Detroit, Green Bay, San Fran, Seattle, Arizona….since NO will win their division, they'll get in. Green Bay and Detroit have lame remaining schedules and are both likely to get in to take a division winner and a WC spot. That leaves Seattle/San Fran and Dallas/Philly to fight it out over the final WC spot. So I'm hoping Seattle/San Fran pile up some losses and Arizona keeps winning on out even without Palmer.
PS I would love to go to Arizona for the NFC championship game, we're better on the road and Arizona's crown would be mostly Cowboy fans.

This is after the SNF game. We have a 1% less chance of making the playoffs after the GB win and the NYG loss as @AdamJT13 said.

Both their playoff position and ours should firm up after the next four games. They play GB there after Mon night then us in Dallas followed by Seattle at home. I expect them to lose 3 or 4 of the next six games.

We just need to take care of business. The Eagles and Colts are the two playoff teams left but we are capable of winning or losing any of the remaining games. I think we win 4 or 5 of the next 6 and it wouldn't surprise me to win them all. The Eagles will be tough. They have a very good rush and have very good skill players.

We can end up with a good record at least better than 11-5 at the end of the year if we come out of the stable after the bye well rested, but a little help from the league in our division is never a bad thing going into the playoffs

I'd like to believe Carolina can do it tonight, but I have Cam on one of my fantasy teams. He has been very disappointing. Their defense is also not good.

I think that 6th seed is going to be a battle vs an NFC East team and Arizona. If it's Dallas, it's going to be another heartbreaker and no playoffs. Take care of our games vs Philadelphia and make sure it them battling Arizona for the last spot.

Three road games in northern outdoor stadiums can also play a big part in our future. Nice to have a running game. Might make the difference for us vs past Decembers.

Yup,

They can probably get to 12-4 with this QB going 4-3 over last 7 games. That's likely. Even 11-5 they are more than good.
