Both sides make halftime adjustments, though, for both offense and defense.
Not us!

How petty is it that fans whine about the head coach clapping.Heads or tails, win or lose, either way fierce clapping will ensue
You always defer.... the other side may choose to go D first and you could get the ball both halvesThere isn't an advantage to be gained, either way, really.
don't be scared go for the kill

Garrett fans are as football clueless as he is. Ask Belicheck if it doesn’t matterDisagree. When you get the ball to start the game there are 60 minutes left. Get it to start the third and there are only 30 minutes left.

Belichick has made a science of scoring late in the first half and coming out quickly in the second half and scoring while the fans are still in the bathroom and beer lines
Plesse stop asking for the ball first if you win the coin flip. The defense is the strength of the team.
Unless you’re on the road, in say Seattle, and thousands of the fans are still getting beer and going to the bathroom rather than making it impossible for the offense to hear. As they clearly would the first possession of the game.Which is better to your way of thinking?
Either way, you get about a dozen possessions. It doesn’t matter when you get them as long as the clock isn’t a factor.

Another reason is just seeing how the game is going. what’s working and not as others have said. Also, how many times do we see one team or the other score right before half? Seems like fairly often. If that happens you either have a chance to get a score back or go up another.
It’s a clear advantage in many ways. IMO
Sure there is. You have the opportunity for two posessessions in a row, and keep the other team from having that opportunity.
It doesn’t matter if it’s 1 pct. that would still constitute an advantage. How often does the team who ends a half get to be the team that starts a half? About 50% of the time? And are you more likely to score twice on series 2 and 3 than you are on your 1st and 4th? If so, why?

As far as if you’re more likely to score, doubtful. The advantage is in the opportunity to stack points before giving the ball back.
