I don’t recall where he said it but he did. And it was probably more in the context of what he said. Haven’t ever seen a video of it. Don’t know if it was a video. Prob from the Fan 103.5 FM on radio. Doesn’t matter. Others heard it too.

Defending our owner is a lonely road Reid. If you can’t see the damage he’s done this era to our franchise nothing I say will change it if you’re All In on Jethro.
I dont defend Jones. I also dont bash Jones. And no matter what I say will never make you see how LUCKY you are to win a SB. Thast right... lucky. Sure, the Brady's and Mahomes of the world arent as lucky... they are simply the best in the game. But the rest of the league... yep, gets a little lucky. Thats why those teams win a SB and then go away for a decade.

Panthers, Falcons, Bears, Bucs, Packers, Saints.... they had a 1 year thing and then pow.... fade away and nothing. Dont try to convince ne their coaching and front office was so good and thats why they made it to the big one. If they were so good, they would be looking for jobs a few years later.

There’s always an element of luck . But most, not all, of those teams especially with the Elite QB’s you mentioned earlier were perineal playoff contenders and great QB’s for several years and finally just broke thru one or two times .

Dak did not win the starting job after pre-season. He won it due to injury.
i will agree with you on this, but that is not the point. He won the job by his pre-season play to which the Cowboys were confident enough to roll with him in week 1. KM got injured in practise the week of the preseason game sir. Dak won the try out during his pre-season performance...at that time every time Romo got hurt jones would pick up someone to replace him for the time being (4-8 week injury)

nope, im not as smart as you, clearly. The owner overhyped? WTH does that mean... maybe you dont get it. You dont believe words that people say about NFL teams, you watch the games.
If you don’t understand what over hyping or promoting is , I can’t help you. It certainly would explain much.

Hope you survived the torrential weather out there recently. Haven’t seen you for awhile here.

He recently said if people are talking cowboys , it means were doing our job well.
That is him saying that interesting and relevant is as or more important than winning in playoffs.

Jerry is good at that aspect, he is not so good at winning, so he tends to go with selling the team since that is what he is good at.
That is why it is called the Circus.
I call BS. This is just another fan narrative taking what Jerry says out of context.
He can say that to keep them just that, relative in the news. AND care about winning. For which he knows will create even more news.

Too bad fans can't comprehend that. Or more like admit they truly knows what he means and that he does care.

Only the Packers and Saints were good each year. The others just had a year or 2 and that was it.

Yep... Ive been gone. I needed to step away as this last playoff loss hurt me in ways I havent been hurt by sports in a long time. i didnt want to see any BS, hear any BS, didnt want to talk football, see football or think football. I was so disgusted with that *** whooping to a team we were clearly better than. But once again, we got to the playoff s and Dak sucked, defense sucked and an opposing team's qb looked like Joe Montana against us. Its taken me almost 3 months to start slowing creeping back.

Jerry agreed to pay Dak $60 million this season. Why does everyone think he won't, when it was his idea?

This FO doesn't have the stomach or cajones to take strong positions that may appear controversial......business as usual and the extension coming

Yep, I suppose the initial 'concern' is getting under the CAP threshold on for the 13th and that'll probably mean his salary's restructured, which'll negate the reason/need to extend, may as well play out the existing year.
They’re already under the cap now

Need more room, not enough for the draft.

Well thats your opinion lol.
No other GM in the nfl would make that statement ! They would all talk about winning shows they are doing there job.
Only jerry would and has said that.

..the bigger question mark is. If they dont sign him, who do you get?

Cowboys aren’t smart. So I’ll say no. They are going to let him play this year and then re-sign him next year for money. Just how they run things. Very foolish.
Actually I think that would be the fair thing to do for both sides. Prove it and if shown then pay the money. Fail and get out.

I disagree. You know what he is at this point. He’s shown us what he is. Waiting a year makes his price go up.

Exactly, because I know what he is I wouldn't extend him today, tomorrow or never. Giving him yet another year to prove (will be his 9th) is already a nice gesture, too kind and delusional for what he already makes, production does not match cost. Any businessperson would understand.

They are now, so there's no rush, the immediate concerns over

Yes, but there's enough potential CAP savings in restructuring: DLaw, Diggs and even Dak. Could then Post -June Gallup depending on needs post draft.

There's this false consciousness, spread by Dak Fans that we MUST extend Dak to get under, that's just not true. Let him prove his worth in 2024.
